I have been suicidal for a while now and I wish I had access to a gun. I would literally have killed myself years ago if I had one. There have been times where I almost hanged myself because I was so suicidal. I just know that I would be dead by now if I had access to a gun or any other reliable method like N. Can anyone relate?

This very resonates with me! You're not alone, I support you. I hope we could buy guns ad easy as in United States, but sadly, in Russia it's very hard to get one.

I can relate to you. I had my first attempt when I was around 14 years old. I wouldn't be here if I would've had a gun or N back then. Wish I would've been successful.

Seriously, especially if I had N I would be long gone from this world. N is my ideal method and if I had it I would leave as soon as possible. There is so much beauty in passing away peacefully without any kind of suffering involved or pain in the dying process, it sounds like the most wonderful thing ever to be free from the burden that is existence and to never have to experience another second here.

But with the gun method, if I lived somewhere where I could access it I would be fearful of me somehow messing it up and leading to some kind of damage, but at least those who actually have access to guns have the method as an option as a way to leave this world. The awful thing is feeling trapped here and having to struggle in finding ways to die, I so envy those with reliable methods, as of course only those who die are the real lucky ones.

Oh, yeah. I'll be able to get my firearm pretty soon after my next birthday. After that, it's just a waiting game to see what tips the scale.

I have a Smith and Wesson .38 caliber with hollow point bullets but I saw several true stories about people who failed using a gun. Now they are trying to rebuild their face one surgery at a time. Therefore, I have a 40 cubic foot nitrogen tank and the bag to go with it. Just be aware .... it doesn't always work like in the movies. (A shot gun is more fool proof, but I just can't go that route)

I felt the same way. It's kinda weird though, now that I have one it gives me a comfort that helps me keep going, I guess because I know now I can confidently end it at any time.

It's still the most reliable method by a healthy margin, but yes the cost of surviving it is terrifying. If I didn't die, I'd hope I'd end up brain dead. Depressing thought yes, but at least then it basically isn't really me anymore.

Everyone is different. I have 13 guns but don't want to use one to ctb. Huge mess and potential to fuck up who ever finds me, especially if there's teeth and brain matter all over the back wall, single eyeball hanging out of a hole that used to be my face.

My wife had a gun. She passed away 4 years ago (not from the gun). I literally could not return to our home for 6 months because I was so sad, depressed and unstable. (I stayed with friends). During that time I believe one of her relatives (who we were very close too) came and took the gun. I've had several people ransack my house looking for it. It's gone. I was mad about it for a long time. So my answer: If the gun were in this house, I would have used it 4 years ago.

God I know how that feels. I'm not old enough to get a gun in my state, but if I could, I'd be dead very quickly.

Yea thats true indeed. People survive gunshots to the head more often than many might think. But I think people mostly survive because they did something "wrong" like moved the gun a little when they pulled the trigger or held the gun at the wrong angle from the start.

So sorry to hear that. And sorry for your loss. I hope it gets better for you tho.
