I'm a 30 years old obeseman and I hate my body. I'm too fat and the fat distribution is so fucked up I look like a monster, but I'm so addicted to sugar I can't stop eating. I stress eat a lot and even when I'm not stressed, I still want to eat. It's the only activity I like doing, there's very few things I enjoy in this world and eating sweets is one of them.

Have you spoken to a Dr about this?

Many things they can do for eating disorders now, its just finding a good Dr to put you on the right path brother.

The new weight loss jab is excellent, stops the hunger cravings.

Best wishes

Eating is enjoyable and therefore releases endorphins, which are chemicals that our body creates. These chemicals (hormones) combat the stress chemicals (adrenaline, cortisol, etc.). All you have to do to reduce eating and therefore weight is substitute the activity of eating with something else that you equally enjoy. It's the chemicals that enjoyment of any type create that you are addicted to, not the food itself.

That being said, it's definitely easier said than done. The big challenge is finding something in this life that you enjoy as much or more than eating. But if you can do this, then you're golden. Obviously exercise is one possibility, and definitely the healthiest. Many people find various forms of exercise to be extremely enjoyable. It likely wouldn't feel that way in the very beginning (because of the excess weight), but after a while once you come healthy, exercise is extremely enjoyable, and also creates a lot of endorphins in your body.

I think there's more to food pleasure and craving than dopamine and endorphines. Food gives me the pleasure that no other activity can. The only activity that is equal to it is masturbation, but I don't masturbate 10 times a day. Eating is the only thing I can do all the time and never feel fully satiated. I think science can't fully explain sugar addiction and saying "it releases dopamine" is a reduction of the subject rather than a full explanation. Saying sugar makes the release of dopamine is like saying your trousers are made of cotton. Towels and bed sheets are also made of cotton, but there's more to it to, since they're different. Same with eating and other activites. Eating makes your brain release dopamine, but there's a difference between the satiation you feel from eating pizza and the satiation you feel from masturbating.

Exercise is not even remotely enjoyable. Lifting weights is painful no matter what you do. I want to be muscular, but I don't really want it since it's too painful I can't sustain a routine. The less I move the more relaxed I am. It's just sucky laws of physics and other stuff the human mind is not able to analyze.

I have an addictive personality. I don't let myself eat often (eating disorder), but when I do eat, it's almost 100% strictly junk food. It is so fucking addictive. Every time I eat something healthy, I just think about how much easier/better it would be to eat junk instead.

I know people who have kicked the sugar habit, but they haven't been suicidal. I think if you try to approach the sugar addiction first, you won't have any success. You have to find the underlying reasons why you have the addiction and your depression before you can fully figure out the solution.

I know why I eat like shit, as I have identified almost all of my reasons for my depression/suicidality/laziness/addictions. Now I'm onto the "addressing" stage. It is not fun. If you decide you want to recover, I am sending you the best vibes. I know from other people that it's possible, but it is so hard and I'm sorry you're going through this <3 Feel free to PM me if you'd like.

(Sorry if this was a little hard to understand, I'm writing this super quickly right before my lunch break ends)

Same with me recently I've been letting myself almost whatever i want, and haven't even been tracking calories.
I've been so depressed, I almost straight up do not give a fuck about the consequences of my actions. I've been absolutely destroying my dopamine receptors spending hours a day scrolling through youtube looking for videos to watch checking discord 5 times a day to see if anything interesting happens(nothing does) jerking off like almost every day probably (not that much though compared to most people).
But nothing makes me happy food is like the most powerful drug, but it only makes me feel pleasure for a little bit. Not eating is like severe withdrawl I feel light headed low energy headaches and extremely depressed.

now I'm starving myself again for a week by eating less than 1,000 calories a day because I hate myself and I need to suffer, its horrible I have to wait until the end of the day to eat only a small meal.

Also it might help if you eat healthier or more satiating food, eat more protein and less carbs and fats.
Avoid fast food and sweats. If you have strong sugar cravings you can look up sweats with little to no sugar.

You can also go on walks for like 1 hour a day or less.
