I am not longer able to work and on disability. I fear a future where I'm on the street, in an institution, or shelter. Does anyone wanna die because they fear a horrible future?

I feel the same, I want to get disabiltiy and probably am going to take my life soon. The cards are not in it for some people. I'm getting to where I can't work anymore.

Yes, I am in a similar situation but I have been unable to attain disability. My anxiety is debilitating and the seizures only exacerbate the issue and cause injury. My mom also suffers from mental illness and seizures, and she is a ward of the state residing in an adult living facility. She is 48. I don't want to end up like that...

Yes this is why I'm preparing a way to die at least. If I can't live with dignity I don't want to live at all.

The present is already bad enough. The future could only get worse. I don't think I can work much longer, and I don't think I'll get approved for disability so I'd have to live with my parents or end up on the street.

I certainly do. Both my parents passed away from Alzheimer's disease which means a high probability of it afflicting me at some point - coupled with having had business failure means I would never have the resources to be taken care of.

I'm sorry to hear this. Being a ward of the state is a very, very scary prospect. This means that the state can do whatever the hell they want with you, including subjecting you to Mengelean style experiments.

For anyone doubting this, realize that electro shock therapy had been banned decades ago because it was considered an inhumane treatment, but apparently now it has been reinstated as part of methodologies used in modern psychotherapy today.

As well recently the state of New York passed an abortion law stating that it is now legal for a baby to be aborted at any stage during its development in the mother's womb, AND on the very day it gets born. This includes allowing the newborn child intentionally being left to die upon its birth. This is some of the shit that Nazi doctors would do back in the day.

Human life means very little today.

You're right. It's very scary.

She has been a ward of the state since she was 39. As the years pass she keeps getting moved to different facilities, each worse than the last. My Grandpa went to visit her last week and told me they are infested with bed bugs there and she only gets one change of clothes a week. I want to off myself before I reach that point.

Yes. Same situation. Haven't worked in three and half yrs. gonna halfts life on disability. Too mentally slow and socially anxious to be around people. If I can't get a job in spring imma have to go to a group home or end up being homeless when it closes

Completely.

The ability to maintain your survival is paramount. For that ability to diminish its only logical to ctb before your fate becomes worse than death.

Living out on the streets where your risk of death, disease, and harm increases exponentially. It's just not worth it. Anyone that doesn't understand that reason for ctb'ing should be completely ignored.

I'm in the same situation. So i need to ctb soon before my body/mind completely gives out on me.

I understand. Totally, completely. Even the slightest threat was enough for a breakdown (went through it many years ago). My hate against the system for that is ..... beyond words.

You seem very knowledgeable about this ward of the state stuff. Do you know if someone can become ward of the state of New York without making a court appearance or by accidentally checking a box on some application that lists as an option "ward of the state of New York?"
Also can this ward be used for things including military, tracked without their knowledge while the state tells people the person forgot they agreed to do this???

Exactly how I feel. There is a bleep of hope still but knowing myself I doubt it gonna be fine.
Just trying not to think about it all the time.
Worst case is not homelessness but very depressing and not safe.

Thanks for asking, but I simply do not know. I would wager that these types of laws are state laws which can vary from state to state. It is simply my nature to consider government in general to be a nemisis to Humanity. I just do trust the government to act in my best intetest, ever.
