  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Their lives are not governed by money and they don't have to work.

But they still have to survive. Finding food and water sources is not easy and then there are the predators. Avoiding them so you do not get devoured is an around the clock task. Not to mention having your territory take away by urban sprawl. Removing not only your living space but your food and water. So they are still governed by a need for food and they still work very hard at survival.

Basically human beings before the discovery of agriculture. You should have lived in 10,000 BC.
Homo sapiens sapiens appeared in 200,000 BC, agriculture in 10,000 BC.... and atheism, industrialisation 200 years ago.
Matter of thoughts, right. We're living an incredible time which is completely unknown and chaotic.

I envy my dog! He lives like a king! Just sleep and lots of food haha! (He deserves to have a good life, though. He used to be a stray dog and now he's found a family who loves him)

I know there is many challenges that come with being a wild animal, but I would choose that over being a human. From what I've heard they don't have as high a level of consciousness and awareness as humans have and the way the human mind works is exhausting to me. Many also have shorter life spans than humans.

But the nature is cruel... Wild animals suffer too, some incredibly horribly... Eat or be eaten... This world is flawed IMO

True. Their lives are not governed by money, and they don't have to work in the career sense. But, don't be fooled: they are governed. Governed by instinct, a will to survive, and the ecosystem the animal belongs to.
Animals work. They work hard. They work hard to feed, survive, reproduce, and defend themselves. I have seen animals on death's door, still trying to make it out alive. Even species that are considered apex predators, still are under pressure of environmental change, disease, injury, and so on.

Humans are animals, too. Don't forget that. We may not be as involved in our natural ecosystem as our ancestors, but we still fulfill similar niches to survive.

It is nice to think about. I know biologists that study North American wolves; specifically the packs in Yellowstone. Most wolves are dead within a year of being born; they were just pups. Many die of starvation or illness. It includes a lot of suffering.
