Help I don’t want my body to be discovered

Again a very badly structured thread, apologies.

I am trying to find a way to go missing so I can CTB without being found. I'm not sure whether I should go deep into the forest a bit away from my house and do it there, or if I should completely take off without warning and take the train to a neighbouring country and pick a random secluded spot there.

I do not want my family to know that I have died, for they are old and have no idea I want to CTB. I cannot be bothered explaining my reasons to them and I think it's better if they don't find out. My friends will easily be able to guess what happened to me.

If I go for the forest method, I need to find a place so secluded that my body will be too decomposed for anyone to recognise by the time I'm found.

This has been asked before and there's often a very, let's just say creative, accumulation of responses. In general I think it's very difficult, but you're on the right track by trying to go as deep into nowheresville as possible and hope for the elements and various critters and biological processes to take care of things. Or heavily weighted with nothing but oceans surrounding you, preferably man-eating shark infested oceans.

As J&L has already suggested, you're not wrong taking the deep-in-the-forest route. The sea is not bad either, although a little more difficult to "just go" to.
If you live in a generally modern country however, someone will discover one day or another.
The question is when, and what state you would be in that very day... and the answer is no one can know, and to hope.

I suggest you go and look what animals roam the terrain and are kind enough to accept being fed that way.

If you want to go all in, a country over is a well approach. When one is registered missing, every single rock in that region will be turned over looking for that person. It takes certainly longer for searches to get approved in another country entirely, especially if that country happens to be a little worse off than your own, let's just say.

Unless you go to a very remote area, the odds are that your body would be found eventually, though it might take a few years. It could probably be identified then by DNA. If you want to be sure you won't be found, you need to think somewhere like Alaska, or Siberia, or some dense tropical jungle (where a body would decay quite quickly) in a remote location, or somewhere comparably remote. (The spot I have chosen for myself - I know the exact location, to within 100 yards - would probably be adequate, but I'm not sharing the co-ordinates here.)

I'm in Australia, if I went hundreds of miles away from the nearest city without being tracked using a burner phone with different sim nothing connected to me and never logged into any identity on that phone and buried myself 0.5m under the ground and died via nitrogen with a small tank next to me. Please answer how long before they find me. I'll get there without a car but via taxi and electric bike. I want to disappear. I don't mind if they find me after years when I've become skeletonised. I just don't want to be autopsied when I still have my organs.

Well, if you really went through all of that, you can only hope the part where you use a taxi wouldn't blow your plan and possibly lead to you when people start to question where you are. I'd recommend you find any way to use both the taxi and e- bike anonymously. Do not use electronic cash.

No plan can 100% guarantee for anything, and I am no detective or biologist but like I said, if you go through all of that the chances will likely be in your favor. That's why I can't answer how long exactly it will take sadly.

The taxi will drop me off at an area about 100km from where I will ride the electric bike. In the taxi I will be wearing a beanie. Sorry forgot to mention that

These days I think about an exit bag/hood while sitting in my car looking out at a beautiful landscape.

I went through a phase for long time when I wanted to go out to sea in a boat, shoot myself so I go overboard and be sunk by weights tied to me. I was fascinated by the whole legal process of being missing for 7 years before I could be declared dead. In many ways that still appeals to me.

I don't have a boat or more importantly a gun and I certainly don't want to drown myself - although it would be perfect.
