  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've fully recreated the scenario of me jumping

Walking towards the edge, climbing up the fence of the balcony if there's one, or just stading right there at the edge, those last few seconds before you've gathered all the courage, bending the knees and going back up full force towards the abyss

And that's all I can see, the actual fall seems so distant, but beautiful. Maybe I'll regret it while falling but in the end it will all be over

It's strange how it's the same for you as well. Picturing it ends for me before the jump as well, which honestly feels a little foreboding. I can't see past that. I can hear the cars, I can feel the concrete barrier, I can feel the breeze. I can see the sunrise. I can feel my feet balancing on the barrier. I can feel bliss and chills all over my body. I can't feel the fall. I can't even see it in third-person. That's a bit eerie to me.

There's a poem about this from the TV show BoJack Horseman:

The weak breeze whispers nothing
the water screams sublime.
His feet shift, teeter-totter
deep breaths, stand back, it's time.

Toes untouch the overpass
soon he's water-bound.
Eyes locked shut but peek to see
the view from halfway down.

A little wind, a summer sun
a river rich and regal.
A flood of fond endorphins
brings a calm that knows no equal.

You're flying now, you see things
much more clear than from the ground.
It's all okay, or it would be
were you not now halfway down.

Thrash to break from gravity
what now could slow the drop?
All I'd give for toes to touch
the safety back at top.

But this is it, the deed is done
silence drowns the sound.
Before I leaped I should've seen
the view from halfway down.

I really should've thought about
the view from halfway down.
I wish I could've known about
the view from halfway down.

Balcony? How high? 250 feet, or 76 meters, is recommended for jumping.
