I have a Bsc. in IT and the reason I got into the IT industry is because I wanted to make games. I've learned Unity and I have made a few prototypes and I'm working on a proof of concept. The problem is, Unity devs in curryland barely get paid, if at all. And the jobs that are there asks us to make hypercasual games.

Which is why I got into MERN. I did two udemy courses and I know how to make a good MERN site. Since I have extreme anxiety, I don't like travelling, and every workplace in curryland is full of toxic people, some of whom I know because I went to school with them, I decided to get into freelancing. Whenever I get interviewed for a freelance contract, they ask me something I don't know. Docker or some shit. The most recent interview asked me to do "deep linking".

Finally I decided to apply for low level stuff. stuff that pay between 100 - 500 usd. Since all I need to make is 500 usd per month. Hecc, even half of that goes a long way.

Should I focus on improving my MERN skills, or should I learn something else. A friend at the gym said to learn flutter. So I've started that.

Why not? They dragged you into this hell in the first place. Great that you're out there trying to get where you want to be, though, it'll be better for you in the long term. No idea about the game dev or tech stuff.

Funny, I know I am that but never feel it. I am way weaker and more useless than you, this might mean that you should be able to feel strong and useful if you change your thinking a bit. You stay fit, socialize and work toward your goals--maybe you don't need to expect any more from yourself.

Damn true, even when people around you brainwash you into feeling guilty for receiving help or money from parents after you pass 18. Thanks for reminding me that. Really screwed with my head the high moralists around me.
