I've been thinking about abandoning everything, quite literally, and just traveling away by foot. Im running out of options, I cant bring myself to pull the trigger on myself, and I just want to disappear. Has anyone here tried running away without a plan? Or even with one? What's the best course of action?

I considered becoming homeless but homeless people are constantly harassed and abused.
If you have money maybe travel to an entirely different country?

Sounds like escapist fantasy, not like an actual plan.

I live in Europe and just a few days ago I considered Chernobyl exclusion zone: a radioactive area in a country at war. Few hundreds of people actually live there (either old couples who never evacuated the area or squatters who are running away from something or just looking for a roof). Afaik radioactivity levels vary greatly in the zone. I guess the main problem would be getting water and food, as the soil is contaminated (even if levels have been decreasing over time). There is plenty of abandoned buildings you can make your new home. Not the healthiest option 😅, but you can really live alone if authorities don't spot you (the zone borders Belarus so I guess they are monitoring the area) and if you get the water/food problem sorted (and that's a big problem, at least if you have no income). If you settle there, I think you should forever say goodbye to the idea of having children.
