I've been thinking about this for a while. More often than not I've ruled out certain methods because I was put off by the idea of how I would be found by my family. I've just wanted to ask whether or not that bothers one in ctb or if you simply don't care because you're gone from the world?

It's never crossed my mind how I'm found or what I look like. It's just doesnt bother me what people will think after I ctb.

It's okay if everyone hates me. Your family will be prolly too traumatized to even remeber finding your body. I was traumatized and I dont remember most of it.

Grassy plane outside my city. Close to some rarely used walk road. City and close villages on the horizon. I found the spot few years ago, and I decided that this is it. If I ctb I will be found there, probably badly decayed... But I don't care what will happen after loss of consciousness.

I'll probably be found by some cops in an abandoned parking lot.
Ideally, I'd want my body to never be found. Unfortunately this means that I'd have to CTB in a completely isolated area somewhere far from human civilization, and even then there is the possibility of some random person stumbling upon my remains. Realistically, I'd probably do it in my place of residence because it's the most comfortable for me, and I wouldn't be interrupted since I live alone.

I'm going for a hotel. I don't have empathy enough to care about traumatizing a stranger, but I sure as hell don't want my parents to find me. Only imagining their reaction makes me feel horrible.
I don't think it's fair for anyone to find me but someone has to. That's why I will go for a method away from home. Hotels are not fair on staff, no one should have to find a dead body at work. A method where a medical person or police find me is my choice. It's not perfect but at least they are trained and will be used to seeing dead people.
At home in bed because it's comfortable and private. Less to worry about in regards to other people and privacy. Also chose a method N2 where I will be in tact and no gore. I live with my best friend so will leave a note on my door to call ambulance and not come in.
I would advise against fantasising or worrying about what will happen when you are found too much. It will never be easy and if you are worried focus on trying to making it as easy as realistically possible. For example I'd rather my best friend found a note on my door saying I'm dead in bed than comes in to see me hanging. You do not really know what will happen or how someone will feel in that event. My friend may burst in or he may run away. I feel bad enough making him wait for an ambulance in the house knowing I am upstairs and this type of thinking is not good for CTB SI.

I would rather not be found by any family members, but to me, by that point I will be gone from this world so it is not of my concern. I do not want anyone to be traumatised but at the end of the day I did not choose to exist in the first place.

I will either be found in my bed by family, or I will found, ideally by a police or a trained professional, in a tent. I lean towards the latter, but not certain which is part of why I'm still around. I don't think death from SN leaves nearly as traumatic of a visual experience as many other methods, so at least there's comfort in there. It is definitely one of the many reasons I'm choosing that method.
I'm in a motel room that will be my last living location. Hmm... as others have said it ultimately doesn't really matter how one is found since their perception will have ended by that point but I'm still going to send a delayed email to a contact I have at the sheriff's department so they can send over someone who won't be as bothered by the sight as the poor house keeper here. Maybe that shows a weakness or lack of conviction on my part but I don't know, I feel like it's the right thing to do.
I'm going to send Schedule emails to the police my doctor and the mental health crisis team and leave my front door unlock and have all my possessions nicely packed
i wanna do it somewhere i can't be found or identified. like if some wild animals ate my remains, or if the remains were too fucked up to get an ID. that way, in the eyes of friends and family, they'd all think i just left and started a new life elsewhere and eventually give up on me. i'd really rather they just never find out i died.
