How to sneak sn in to hotel in india? if i book a hotel from a online app and without knowing if there is metal detectors( nowadays every hotel has one ) and scanners to check my bag. i don't want them to think it's some kind of drug or i'm someone who is there to harm people and call police, they will not believe i was there to ctb and so many things could go wrong. please help me. on top of this i'm booking hotel within 15km from my home.

Maybe you could buy a metallic knee brace and hide the sn underneath, I saw cheap models on amazon, they won't ask you to get it off. Or crutches

Do not be suspicious, put it in a normal backpack, if asked you will use it for an upcoming outing/event. Pretty sure no one will automatically assume SN = ctb nowadays.

Store it in a bottle like talcum powder after cleaning it out, basically it needs to mimic a plausible item, don't act nervous & don't make a big scene.

Kinda had the same fear (though not metal detectors, SN comes in plastic containers anyway). I was planning to tell them I bought it for my friend who lives in a small town and can't order online. These aren't cops that do the scan in a hotel, so I doubt they'll probe further than this. To make it more convincing, I also haven't removed my original packaging. Mostly it's about keeping a calm demeanour if shit does hit the fan.

this cannot be a serious question , security checking doesnt exist in 99 percent of the hotels / motels / lodges , unless you are living in high security areas , there too basic security measures are non existent .

Maybe OP booked a high-end hotel, after 26/11 some such hotels did scan luggage from what I heard. It's not a completely unfounded fear IMO.
