I'm planning on ctb soon and I've tried fasting a few times, but I just can't go on, I can't go without eating food.
Any tips for how to make it easier?
My method is SN

Can you look into purchasing an appetite suppressant? If so, try to research and make sure it won't affect any other meds you'll be taking

At first you'll feel really hungry. But then the hunger will disappear and come and go...

If you can, try to sleep through the hunger.

Sleep pill can make you sleep through the hunger and also keeps you fasting effortlessly if you are able to sleep long enough.

alcohol

the hunger disappeared when i drank a lot on a daily basis, i could go without barely any food in my system for days

whenever i didnt drink for a couple of hours, the hunger and side-effects of not eating slowly hit me, making it more difficult to drink again / go w/o food

Probably less relevant for you if you're only fasting for a day or 2, but relevant to the topic generally, hunger more or less disappears entirely after the first few days. I've done a 40 day water only fast and I'd say after about 3 days, there was no hunger anymore, nor did it ever come back afterwards. You still get the odd craving for very specific things, in my case usually salty things (probably because I was low on sodium) but no desire for food more generally.

More relevant for you, in the first few days when hunger is still a thing, my method is to just sit with the feeling I'm labelling hunger and try to feel exactly what it is, ignoring the the thoughts and usual reactions to it. Close my eyes and work out if it's in the stomach, or more diffuse as like an overall weakness, what is it exactly? Once I can identify it then just be with it, not trying to change it, respond to it, remove it, make thoughts about it. And before long I usually find I'm comfortable with it, and it dissipates on its own.

Water! Drink a huge glass of water. Keeping busy/distracted so you don't think about food also sleep but that can be difficult when fasting so maybe sleeping pills for that

This. Water is 0 calories but helps alleviate hunger
However, if i remember correctly, there's a time interval in this fast where no liquids should be consumed either...

I'll try it today, thank you

How long are you trying to fast for? You only need to fast 8 hours or so for SN
