Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'd appreciate some help with making CTB easier for my loved ones. I want to make things as easy on them as I can. I know it won't be easy regardless, but easier is the keyword. My mom and sibling are my closest offline relationships, and online is mainly how I connect with my friends. There are a lot of people I'm considering.

I currently have a list of what accounts I want to give away and to who. I've also noted which ones will need authenticators removed. A Bitwarden account for my family is appealing, though I may write something physical because my mom is notoriously bad at remembering passwords. She would probably forget how to get into the account. I'm looking into how to use pCloud for sharing files too. I want to send art resources I've collected to my art friends, save my art for my mom to have, and see if there's any important documents to save.

The hardest part will be figuring out what accounts and physical stuff to destroy. Once I start destroying some of my most important stuff, I won't be able to go back. I just don't want my family to find anything afterward that'd make them cringe.

If it wouldn't be so exhausting, I'd sell a lot of my stuff to build funds for bills and any funeral services. I'd prefer no funeral and for my post-death to be as cheap as possible. I have a good feeling my mom's family will guilt her into hosting a service though. They're extremely judgemental and gossipy like that.

All of this is so overwhelming. I almost want to throw out all these plans and go for it, even if the guilt itself will be what gets me first. Some of these steps require me to do these things right before I CTB, so I need to be committed throughout the process. I don't even believe I'll have any amount of consciousness once I'm dead, so logically, I shouldn't care what happens. There's just peace in mind in going knowing I tried something.

Personally, I think you could write a note to your mom, telling her something like, "This isn't your fault. If people judge you or gossip about you, it just shows they aren't worth keeping in your life." I feel that judgment and scrutiny from others only add to the burden on the surviving family members.
wishing you all the best.

Honestly, I plan on destroying my devices and drives with hammers or shooting them before I go.
