I thought about putting water and soap on the floor. I'm also going with a slipknot and being drunk off my ass.

Is there any chance I might stand up and ruin it? How can I prevent that from happening?

The soap would just be annoying, perhaps terrifying if you slip while trying to abort. I wouldn't do that. There's a big chance you stand up, the odds are you will. How can you prevent that, idk, it's all in the mind. You need to have more will to die than to live. It's easy to say it but in that position it's a different story.

Stupid question but if I manage to pass out is there a chance my body might be stupid enough to someone stand up? I reckon passing out isn't the problem because the last few times I've tried I didn't give much of a shit and was at peace (Only aborted because it was on impulsive and I still had things to take care of).

If you pass out, you will 100% not stand up. The knot could loosen it's hold on your neck when you pass out and 'trash'. If that happens there's a chance you'll wake up, depending on how long you were out it could result in brain damage. I think if the knot loosens though you would most likely wake up relatively quickly within a few mins and not be messed up.

I still believe in this method but I read experiences from people involuntary standing up from 8ch.net/suicide.. including myself.. I woke up Seizing like hell dittty bopping on and off the door with the rope extremely tight around my neck.. intentionally the knot was in the front of the neck..kneeling..suspended from the top of door nothing broke..I can only justify this by "involuntary" standing up.. I don't remember trying to abort at all.. Though I still try to believe in this method I switched up a few things by not padding.. a little bit of a thicker rope but worried something like last time might still happen again I don't want to be face with full suspension just bc my body decides to fight so hard while unconscious In partial suspension that i involuntary stand up...that sucks so bad to me... obviously this doesn't happen to everyone though. Which makes me think I could still get away with it.. just a lot more intimidating this time around not knowing weather or not my body will stand up on its own again..

Was just wondering if that could happen then read your post, suddenly coming to while in the middle of dying sounds pretty terrible and is a terrifying prospect :/

Would tying your legs together help with this?

For sure man it definitely was terrifying. I couldn't believe it.. I could barely control what my body was doing in that moment..and to sum it up even more I intentionally had the light switch off before I loss consciousness but woke up to it on..the light switch was Along side next to the door frame way above where I was kneeling..you know?..no way that it could of accidentally switched on unless I involuntary stood up and my convulsing body flipped it on...which it did then in fact

So you passed out and woke up seizing? The rope must've loosened enough for you to regain consciousness from the seizing. Perhaps, doing it in a seated position would work better than kneeling to prevent the noose from coming loose? I don't think you were unconscious and stood up to loosen the knot, turn on the light etc. I just can't see that. What kind of rope/knot did you use?

I would imagine just from common knowledge but I'm not sure.. I'd personally experiment with it to see if I could stand up on my own being tied first.

I'm open to all possibilities no doubt in mind..but I don't remember consciously wanting to stand up period.. I only became aware of my surroundings when I was Seizing on my feet.. and to the light on when it was intentionally off before everything began. It was a Semi thin rop I cut off from a tubing in a slip knot, knot in the front..and a hoodie on to pad the neck. What is your difference or the difference from kneeling to siting?

I think the difference between kneeling and sitting is that when your kneeling it's easy to fall over, or for your body position to change once unconscious. If your in a more seated posture, there's less chance of drastic changes in body positioning imo, so less chance for the knot to loosen, imo.

There are numerous reports not unlike your own online, they are disturbing but I have never seen footage of said scenario so it's hard to really know what exactly happened.

I have tied a few different knots and one in particular (8 chan, picture diagram for the slipknot) with a nylon rope was extremely hard to loosen, I think having a rope that will hold tightly after your out is extremely important. My static climbing rope doesn't have the same hold and loosens easily, so i'd probably only use that one for full.

I personally would take a lethal posion before hand like sodium N etc it's only 14 seconds until you pass out of from partial suspesion if youdo it right. You could prevent it from ruining by not doing partial/doing standing hanging where your feet can't reach tye floor

The rope was nylon actually like white and thin..I do remember not for the life of me being able to get that rope off even after opening the door.. I had to cut it off.. obviously my survival instinct was extremely strong at this point but the loss of tension in the rope from me not being suspended anymore had to of made a big difference in compression.. but Convulsions In its self say a lot too.. The worst of all of this is that I'm more skeptical now then I was already then..

So, it seems like your right it wasn't so much the knot loosening as much as the tension from the rope lessening from either thrashing or standing up somehow. Idk, it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong, if you actually fully passed out it seems like it should have worked. I still do believe the seated position would be the safer bet next time though. *experiences like yours are definitely a cause for my own hesitation. I wish we could get to the bottom of this issue and make it clear why it happens.

I know man..me too.. it's very frustrating and I don't want to sound stupid here but I'm trying not to resort to anything else like ripping open my arm to perform exsanguination which I been considering bc of all of this bc I don't think I have the balls to go Full..the thing is though this odd situation doesn't apply to everyone who performs partial.. videos can sort of prove that.. people do stay down for whatever reason..From what Ive read on 8ch.net/suicide people couldnt explain why that guy's body could of possibly just have stood up on it's own 3 different times.. they just ended up saying your body unconsciously/Involuntary does it on its own to "save its self" that he has to resort to full suspension bc of this having to do with him.. but that's so ridiculous..Standing up unconsciously makes no sense period..so neither does sleep walking though right?

What the fuck. I really hope this shit doesn't happen to me. I just want to be dead, man, why does killing yourself have to be so goddamn hard.

But sitting is a better position than kneeling then? With sitting meaning that you put the noose around your neck and slide down until gravity does the rest and you pass out?

Where do you put the knot?

I'd put it at back and tighten as much as possible then slide down into sitting position

I pretighten the knot in the front.. bending to leaning my head back as I begin to partially suspend.. Then to feel super just light headed right away right before i know I'm about to pass out or do pass out.. it's like 8-10 seconds and I'm gone..and too if I were to just practice standing up just pulling the rope up with my hands.. though with putting the knot in the back I experience such severe pain that is most commonly talked about all the time.

Do you pad the rope and if so where do you place it

The First go around with partial I used a hoodie as padding..like just flipped the hood over my head then tied the two strings together. Nothing explains wtf I stood Up involuntary though :/... standing up totally defeats the purpose.

I've read everything there is about partial suspension and have tried several times but they didn't work it at all? :(
I initially used a necktie but as I attempted to slump down the stitches are breaking and I wasn't passing out at all. Then I changed to using a belt but similarly I did not experience any fainting or numbness... Just felt like my throat hurt a lot and sometimes I couldn't breathe. And all I got was some redness in the neck.

Already feeling like a piece of shit and now I can't even kill myself properly. Please help!!

How thin is thin..?
I don't really have access to ropes... And aren't thin ropes even more painful for the neck?
Previously I read in another thread that neckties are good so I tried but it even left a red mark on my neck :(
