My therapist is currently just suggesting things that has already been suggested in the past; meditation, cognitive distortions, etc. The therapist just makes me feel... nothing, like waiting for a lecture to end so you can get home. Just tolerating the conversation. In addition, she's moved to telehealth, which to me is unbearable. So I'm planning on stopping therapy. However, if I ask for my notes during the same email or session that I announce my cessation, will she be less likely to give them to me? Should I just ask for the notes in a session acting normally, and then just stop after I finally get them? And then there's the question to email, call, or in person.?
I just want to know what to do to sweet-talk my way into getting the progress reports? I am a very big person on introspection, and finding the key cause to everything. And, I feel that this would be very useful to me. I'd presume that saying something along those lines, and acting normally, then quitting after receiving them would be best, but I really just want confirmation. Thank you all very much!
