  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I, too, feel exhausted most days but what helps is distracting myself with hobbies (knitting, watching tv, gaming, etc.), reading the Tao Te Ching (or listening to the audiobook on Youtube) and hanging out with my cat (we have telepathic conversations :D). My suicidal feelings are always there but mostly I try to concentrate on being content... not happy or sad, just content.
Who knows how long this will work but that's what I'm holding onto for now. I hope you find something that works for you.

Quick fixes: let yourself cry, eat some food/cook something, shower, move around, watch a movie, paint nails/brush hair, go to sleep, do something with/for your frog, call 988 or any local suicide hotline and vent your problems to them (you dont have to mention any active suicidal thoughts) go the library and get a book or buy yourself a treat

Long term fixes: take walks regularly, eat healthier, pick up a hobby, go to bed earlier and wake up earlier, meditate

Life is tough... So may demands on you that you feel pulled to so many directions, there's nothing left for you. I can relate - aging parents, primary caretaker for cancer patient, terminally ill pet, transitioning children into adulthood, high stress job, etc. Friendships are transactional - nobody seems to think or care about me unless they need something. And everyday has fallen into a repetitive cycle that I cannot break out of. I feel trapped, and yet I know all of these people (and animals) need my assistance. I'm here to enable others to live.

As far a techniques to help cope, I really like a lot of the ideas that @BlueLock listed. I find myself taking baths, listening to music, trying to learn something new, building thing (although home repair just adds to my stress), take a walk in the local park. Basically, anything that gives me some alone time to quietly process my thoughts. One of these days, I will add "eat healthier", "go to bed earlier", and "meditate".

Another approach that I have found works well is to reconnect with people I haven't talked to in a while. Positive connections to others can be very helpful and uplifting in times like these.

Hopefuly, you can find something that works for you.

There's a lot of things you can do, but I think that some things work for some and just don't work for others. For me, meditation and therapy are not much helpful, but some other things help me feel better, like watching my comforting youtube playlist, journaling, reading affirmations, medication... You should try and find what works best for you.

I know that "I want to die but I must stay alive" state very well. I hope you can feel better soon.
