I want to ctb in a hotel room(by SN), but i'm afraid they might find me before i die. How can i make it sure they cant find me before i die? I also wonder if there's a list that makes me refused to enter amy hotel if i failed. lastly, i'm afraid that i might be expelled from my house and cant find a new one if i failed and it was known(i live in a small city, so the rumour can spread fast)

If you check in as soon as it is allowed, no one will check the room until morning. Adding the do not disturb sign will also keep people away.

Put the do not disturb sign on the door, and take the SN around midnight. That way, you will be gone before the maids show up which is usually around 10AM.

There is no hotel blacklist that I know of. Individual hotel chains might keep records like this, but I doubt they will be sharing the list with other companies.

You're worried that they will kick you out of your house because you attempted suicide? Why? Do you live with family?

no, i live with my roommate.

She would be a really shitty roommate to kick you out because of that, since for most people it would just add another reason to ctb.

This is what I will be doing in the next week or two. I agree with others , go around midnight with sign on door. Best with a sea view.. the big chains have protocols and no one will be greatly stressed by finding your body.

Canadian here.Depends on how busy ER and Psych Ward is. When I wanted help on psych ward, I was in ER for 5 days because busy. It's often an issue in small towns, too. (No psych beds). Legally, I think you can only be held involuntarily for 72 hours. When I wanted help, the psychiatrist was "bouncing" patients by convincing them that they were safe to go. I wanted to stay, was expressing my Suicide plan, and he was trying to "bounce" me out of ER. He changed me to "voluntary" against my agreement. Crazy!
@Tearygirl
Read the SN Megathread and wiki about SN treatment. You will definitely be in ICU, if you are near an urban hospital. You will be treated with methylene blue and oxygen. You may need a blood transfusion. This is just theoretical, but if you read the resources, you'll have a better idea.

This thread has quite a few tips
https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/how-to-check-into-hotel-undetected.19654/
( see the post by "Sargasm" )

Note : As always, please note that I strongly encourage you to seek help with whatever is troubling you. Things may seem hard, but with the right help they can improve. There are many sources of help if you look and reach out. Please seek assistance in any and every way possible. You alone must decide upon your actions and take full responsibility for them, and you should always favour seeking help and keeping out of harm's way.

I want to ctb in a hotel room

A few things to consider.

  1. Are you OK with wrecking somebodies time with having to see a dead body? Like cops and what not are asking for it because it is apart of the job. But I'm sure most agree that isn't apart of a hotel workers training.
  2. Are you OK with disrupting a business and costing them a lot of money. I was looking at making a firing range as some side income, and I came across article after article on people going to ones across the world offing themselves. Looking into it, in the USA some of them reported it cost about a good $10k to cleanup and so on. And many times they had to be shut down for a week. Obviously SN is different than a gunshot to the head. But, there is a cost, time it takes, and so on.
Just passing that along.

the big chains have protocols and no one will be greatly stressed by finding your body.

They have policies like making it look like 1 elevator not working, and moving the body when no one is looking. But I wouldn't say no one would be greatly stressed. Like if a maid or a staff member found your body, I'm sure they aren't mentally trained on that.

My friend works at a high-end hotel on the overnight shift. When she gets a noise complaint she sends up security. Unless they hear noise coming from the room that they consider loud, the guest is left alone.

Your best bet is to check as soon as you can, tell whomever is checking you in your tired/not feeling well/your vibrator is fully charged/whatever and you do not wish to be disturbed. Put the DND sign on your door. Choose a spot where you won't bang into anything if you have a seizure, and do what you think is best.

Please keep in mind that housekeepers make very little money and that they need this job to survive. Maybe send a delayed email an hour before check out to the front desk or manager telling them what's happened.

You should probably book a room for two nights just to be on the safe side so when you are discovered the chances of you being dead are higher.

Peace be with you.

I'd say having background music/TV on to distract from the noise you may make. Like, not extremely loud, but audible enough.

at midnight makes the most sense. no one will open your door for atleast 6-8 hours then. and you will be long dead by then.

but please make sure to leave a sign for the maid somewhere. that they should not enter the room and just call the police because there are dangerous chemicals or atleast that you ctb.

I've been near it, and had scouts trips to Scarborough as a kid. The whole area is nice so I will probably go over there for a day or two. I remember stathes is very good and near there.

I'm doing the same thing. Already visited three places by the sea.

It would be interesting to hear from you through PM. So we can share our experiences of picking the perfect spot by the sea to ctb in the UK in more detail.

Staithes is fantastic and there's a lovely little pub placed just right for brooding out to sea.

I dn't know - but when I do this in a hotel room, I will book for 2 nights to be on the safe side. I will also take some kind of sign to put behind the door - with call the police on it....so that no-one needs to see my body apart from the police.

Then I will put the DND sign on the wall.

I don't know how long SN takes, so maybe 1 night will be enough.

Howard, I second Jean4s motion that you be sure to say goodbye, if you WANT to that is, your choice. If you choose to post I want to be here for you, either way.

Yes I'll be posting when the day comes. Others posting has somewhat eased my mind so feel I should repay for them, plus i think it might help with any anxiety at the time in keeping mind occupied.
