Two people I've helped source drugs on this forum appear to be dead. This makes me feel incredible sick, I don't know how to deal with this. Ideologically, I think a person should have the choice, but in reality, it takes such a heavy mental toll. Does anyone have any advice on how to balance these two things, how to live your values but not get too hurt? Maybe I should just stop helping people source things, I don't know, I don't know, I sort of feel like I've asisted in a murder. I don't know. I mean I've helped people buy illegal drugs that you can overdose on, so I guess this is sort of the same... but the intention with them was of course never that they planned to OD... aaaaaaa, I just don't know what to do... :/

I think it's important to stay in your comfort zone. You can stand firm that it's an individual's rightful choice and still respect that you personally will not get involved.

they aren't in pain anymore, suffering here. This is what they wanted. If it affected people around them too much then maybe they should've been more observant and showed some kind of care helped them beforehand.
Honestly, death is a relief from all this pain here, and it's what they wanted. They are probably in a better place than us now

If it's taking such a mental toll on you then honestly I think it's in your best interest to stop giving out information on how to source things. If not then just remember, all you did was give them that and they could have found it out elsewhere. It's not on you how they dealt with the information. Some people are inclined to act in certain ways no matter what interventions, at least that's my belief. It's not on you what they decided to do. If you knew them on this forum as well then probably that's what they wanted and they would look up things and try other methods if they hadn't already. I realize that's getting more dismal basically saying it's inevitable, but I feel like for some this outcome is and it's our decision and we don't want anyone to feel this guilt since we're doing what we feel is best for us. You should do that for yourself as well in whatever form that takes for you.
Aside from that it is possible to train your brain to discard thoughts and to become more emotionless and unaffected in general. I guess feeling numb. I have no sources on this but even just working on constantly pushing thoughts away might eventually make you less prone to them or else you push them away quicker to return to a numb state faster. Though this can lead to worse breakdowns lol keep yourself busy outside of these forums too. The busier you are the less you can think.
I'll stop now haha
