I'm assuming 'sketching' is an autocorrect fail, or otherwise you must have a very dangerous drawing technique
An SN death almost certainly has the potential to be loud enough to be heard from another room nearby, especially at night when there are few other noises present and where walls may be thin such as in a house. This could be from groaning, vomiting or falling over, among others. You would probably be better off in a hotel, which have more background noise at all times of the night, and which are usually designed to have some degree of soundproofing between rooms. In a hotel, you could also have the TV or music on at a reasonable (but not complaint-worthy) volume to help mask any other sounds.
Note however that doing it at a hotel has the potential to unfairly
traumatize a staff member who finds your body. It is recommended that you either place a clear warning notice if there is an internal door in the room, or otherwise arrange a delayed e-mail or text message to notify emergency services so they are the ones who discover your body.
