Rope or support could break. Someone could find you and bring you down, cut the rope, etc. Poor execution could cause unnecessary suffering. In many ways it would seem to be a very effective method to CTB, but certain to be quite painful, especially if not done as correctly as possible. Like all suicide methods preparation is key, it can't be stressed enough to research it to the fullest to ensure success and a quick, low pain death.

maybe if the rope is not strong enough to hold your weight and the pressure you might do while unconscious, I think the rope could break (don't know if that's the correct word to use in this case, english is not my native language).
there is something about the knots you do also.. if it's not a good one, it can get loose and you might fall.

If done correctly and not interrupted it seems like a 100% method, but those are the two keys, plus no one knows how long it really takes to pass out, so it is likely to be very stressful for a while.

There's a download for the pph. There Korean method discusses blocking carotid arteries. You don't want choke to death. If you've never come close to trying, SI can be strong. Study.

No possibility if done right and when there is no one around. The worst that can happen is that it can be a slow torturing death like depending if consciousness is lost or not (which is why guides must be followed).
