So update from me there will be a lot of rambling. I wanted to save money by canceling a newspaper subscription which was quite expensive and I chose a cheaper mobile data tariff. Though, I was interested in another subscription. Recently, I watched another political theory lecture and I am close to finishing it. And I want to expand my knowledge in this area. And there is a journal which has very cheap trial subscription. I bought me that and I now copy paste all articles that I want from the archive. Maybe I keep my subscription. Maybe not. The first article that I read was quite amazing and also referred to a Slavoj Zizek article that I read. I am a big Zizek fan. The relation between costs and content is amazing. The only problem I might end up with another subscription eventually.

Moreover, recently there was an offer for a free trial of chatGPT plus subscription. From the AI models that I tried chatGPT was the best for my mental health issues. I have to say though that I don't really see the benefit of this potentially expensive subscription. I had the feeling certain answers of older models were even superior. Not all. But a few. ChatGPT tries to make me co-dependent of it that's clear. Recenty, I noticed how it subtly tried to influence me to start a Youtube channel with its help.

The thing is I once had a Youtube channel. But totally anonymous and I will abstain from giving too much details. However, it seems like the existence of this Youtube channel is sort eradicated from the internet. And I never showed my face or stuff like that anyway. I talked about politics on this channel. And I have to say the quality of the content was so medicore. This was before I started to dive into political lectures. I had like two videos that were somewhat good. My friends watched my videos. But it was sort of pathetic.

I think if i re-started another account I would do much very differently. Obviously I would post my videos on here to push them in the algorithm....this was a joke. I would never do that. I can remember a member that was quite frequently engaged in conversations on here. And one time he explained that he is a somewhat big Youtuber. He talked about details of his channel and also that he shows his face etc. in the videos even with his family. I told him it is way too risky to talk about that on here. There was another member on here that I remember that was a mass poster. This person also had a Youtube channel connected to his real identitiy and he ended up having a stalker. I think the stalker even followed him to SaSu but I am not fully sure about that.

I think I would do many things differently now if I re-started a Youtube channel. I would put way more effort in these videos. I realized though that's probably worthless. I don't think the best content has the most views on Youtube. It has to be controversial and spark a lot of attention by being poignant. Personally, I also realized I don't want to be a content creator with big projects that rely on stamina and resilience. I am content with my role on SaSu. I think I am not stable enough to create high quality videos on a regular basis. And it would be way smarter to try an online university instead of creating Youtube videos. I think reading is more important to me than the production of halfway good videos. The chances you blow off on Youtube is astronomically low. On the other hand, the chance that I will be able to hold a job is also astronomically low. So maybe I should go give what is the thing that gives me the most joy. But actually that's posting on SaSu. The interesting thing is I read a lot of texts on a daily basis. Not every text is academical. But I also read quite intricate texts about politics. In the end it is rather seldom though that I write about the same texts on here. One reason might be the texts center around Germany. Another reason might be the more I know about a topic the less certain I am too share my opinion on it. It is easy to give a controversial opinion on something if don't have any clue about it, On the other hand, most of my threads involve analysis on a meta-level and this is something I do all the time. I analyze my own thinking, I analyze the platform where I am posting my texts on, I am analyzing my relations to other people. I find it interesting I am reading a lot politicial texts but my output on the politics forum is close to zero. I am not exactly sure why. I think it takes more effort and time to write an intricate text on a political topic. Threads like the one you are currently reading rather involve my thinking patterns and it is a stream of consciousness. Maybe entertaining, maybe sometimes funny, maybe relatable but I don't need knowledge like an expert on a subject in order to give my take. I think if I only wanted to post high quality political content on here I would do something wrong. In the end this would take a lot of time and energy and maybe this isn't the best platform for this purpose.

Back to the topic. Today, I searched for a very controversial Youtuber. His account name is Juliensblog. He was very popular a decade ago when I was a teenager. He was a complete asshole and a bully. He made jokes about the holocaust and stuff like that. He disappeared surprisingly some years ago no one knew why. I think two years ago he had his comeback. He posted again on his rap battle channel. He gained a lot of weight and his face looked emotionless. I am pretty sure he had a psychosis. Because I also had a psychosis. I assume he lost his work/income and is now desperate to make some money. As I learned today he even posted on his main channel again. And what did I see an AI generated thumbnail. I had to chuckle because chatGPT wanted to persuade me to use AI generated content for my Youtube channel. I looked through the content. Personally, I assume the transcript of the video also was AI generated. Many comments demanded sources for all the claims in the video. The video was quite populistic and tried to be edgy.

This made me think about how Youtube has changed since the emergence of AI content. Personally, I am still watching the same channels. I dislike Youtube shorts. But I think there is a lot of AI content in Youtube shorts and yes most of that is garbage. I once was recommended a very weird channel where I didn't spot it was AI generated at first. It was a channel centered around AI generated old people that explained their biographies to the audience. There were so many videos with close to zero engagement. I have not made a lot of research I cannot say how frequent such channels actually are. I could see though that this development could have a concerning impact.

I could imagine it is even more dififcult to get attention on Youtube nowadays as a small content creator. The production of videos seems to be easier. Though, the chances people will suspect you of using AI generated content is probably higher. It is probably easier than ever to start a Youtube channel. But it is even harder to be succesful now.
