So i have been thinking for awhile about death and what comes with it. And something that really interests me is that the brain is still active for 7 minutes after you die.

Furthermore, apparently your brain releases DMT upon death, which makes you experience visions and a bunch of other interesting stuff.

DMT is a drug that people take and from what i hear it usually seems super trippy but not unpleasant or anything.

I guess what im asking is, i personally want to experience that when i die, but obviously if your method damages your brain it probably wont happen, so whats yalls opinion on this in general? What do you think happens in this time? Would you change your method to accommodate it? And if im misinformed on anything im happy to learn

Not worth thinking about for me. Active doesn't mean lucid or even aware. The goal of being done is all that matters to me personally.

If this at all real, it won't change anything about my method of choice. I am willing to go through a lot to die as long as the method is irreversible and I can't back out of it so SI can't stop me so 7 mins of whatever this is doesn't effect my decision as it doesn't change that I am dead that my brain won't be active very soon.

I think it will be the best 7 minutes of your ending life. The total amount of endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin is likely to evoke pleasant memories, and with DMT, incredible calm bliss with a gradual descent into oblivion and a sense of merging with the universe.

Why would it be terrifying? From what i hear it isn't unpleasant and people who have had near death experiences usually say they get filled with a feeling of peace. Sorry if it scared u :(
