Help How effective are sleeping pills? (Urgent)

Hey everyone.

I need to know if it's possible to ctb using sleeping pills. And if so, then how effective is it, how much should you take, how much time does it take for you to die.
I couldn't find anything about this in the ressource compilation so I'm asking here.
Any other tips and information about this would be welcome.

It's not easy to overdose with modern prescription sleeping tablets like Zolpidem or Zopiclone. You're likely to just throw up, to be honest. You might do bizarre or dangerous things (like sleep driving) and find you have no memory of it after the effects wear off.

Benzodiazepine is probably more effective as it reduces your ability to breath. I can't imagine that would be a quick and easy way to go.

Hi! Bad idea, can you tell me the name and dose of the script? It will help me and others figure out something. So basically I would say no, don't do it. A test was made called ddmp in euthansia circles, it consisted of 5g morphine, 5g, diazepam, 1g propranolol and digoxin. 20%(ish, not sure on the number tbh) of people still didn't die. So just sleeping tablets aren't gonna cut it i'm afraid, it might....but if it fails you get oxygen deprivation and can't feel your toes/fingers. I advise another option, just look around the site

I cant really give you that because this is not for me. A friend of mine told me she was gonna ctb by taking sleeping pills right now and then just left. I can't call her or get in touch in any way. I'm really worried that it's gonna fail.
Another question i have in mind now is: If it fails or succeeds will the cops investigate me because she told me she will do it? When she told me she will i told her to wait so that we can do it together but she didn't reply and just left. Does this count as a crime?

It's a likely failure. Well shit, idk. Likely not invigate you unless they get the admins, which hasn't happened before. I wouldn't worry, it was her choice no-one led her into it?, if a success then maybe expect a knock, clean house. , scrub phone /Pcs if possible.

I'm sorry but what does "unless they get the admins" mean? U mean the admins to this forum? Because she called me on the phone and texted me before she left so that's what I'm worried about.
I do not know where she got the info from, but i know she didn't really care much and didn't do any research. So i assume she heard about it somewhere and just went for it because she just wanted to die and not think about anything else.

Okay texts and phone goes through your phone provider, the cops will need a big (budget wise) case on you til they come down with anything. Your good. Did you advise her to seek medical help or something like it's your choice?
All this will play a big part of if (again highly unlikely) you are called to a trial etc, it probably won't happen. Leave a voicemail just in case. But do not panic. You are not at fault.
edit: as much as I respect people right to choose, I think this was a poorly planned act that could warrant contacting someone close to her. Idk man it's your decision at the end of the day

But isn't easy for the cops to get to me? They will find my texts with her and my phone number, and all they have to do is ask her parents who is this guy or something, cuz we live just a couple of blocks away from each other and they likely have my number as well since i've met them a few times.
I'm sorry but this really got me worried and anxious, not only for the fact that there is a chance that she went through with it, but also that she could have failed, and that i could be linked to her suicide.

But isn't easy for the cops to get to me? They will find my texts with her and my phone number, and all they have to do is ask her parents who is this guy or something, cuz we live just a couple of blocks away from each other and they likely have my number as well since i've met them a few times.

So the story is, you tried to help. They can find the texts if it is successful (probably wont), the cops could ask you to talk if it was successful but your under no obligation to talk. And if that ever happens (most likely won't), there is evidence that you tried to help. If this attempt is in progress I personally would go to the physical place and look out, say she invited you or whatever to the parents and see how she is. If she chokes on vomit or whatever she might live with bad results (nerve damage).

Update: I managed to get in touch with her parents and turns out she is fine. She didn't go through with it, thankfully. Such a relief.

I will try to talk to her and respect her choice, I'll show her this forum so she can at least do it in a safer way.
