my sleep schedule is completely fucked. I wish I had any way to fix it because I either go to sleep at about 20:00 and wake up at 1:00 or go to sleep at 3:00 and wake up at about 12:00. This has really messed up a lot of things from me. Alarms don't wake me up at all (I can sleep through actual rocket alarms). Anyone have tips?

My sleep schedule is another degree of fucked, definitely even more chaotic than what you describe. IDK for me it just works like that. If I have an important appointment I get up, and if I didn't get up it was because I felt sleeping through it was more important at that point. I always hear my alarms, I just choose to ignore them sometimes.
I think my tip for you is radical acceptance. My sleep is my choice and anyone wanting to disturb it, has to be important. I know the consequences of not submitting to normal waking hours, and I'm willing to pay that price, although I would sometimes like to find a profession that I can work at any time I want.

also: what do you have to say about the climate crisis?

I struggle with the same issue, and outside of meds that make me lethargic the next day the only legit 100% solution I found to waking up right away (no bs) is smelling salts... But... If you've never used them than there's like a 75% chance you'll use them once and then avoid them afterwards because they work too well.

There are alarms that will shake the bed. My boyfriend can't wake up because he definitely has sleep apnea but doesn't have insurance to get help. But I got him This one on Amazon ($20 rn and 30 day refund if it doesn't work) and it woke him up every time he used it.

Hate to promote unhealthy habits, I'm not saying to do it. But I will also keep my vape by me and hit it a few times when I wake up so the nicotine just gives me a rush. Then when I'm awake i drink coffee and sit upright on the couch for a while so I don't go back to bed.

I need answers for that question too tbh since I've been struggling with waking up for most of my life. Things kinda improved when I started taking activating antidepressants, but still a big issue. Also over time I also found a few things that helped me a bit personally, some probably obvious but maybe something will help you:

- sleeping with an open window somehow lets me get "better" sleep, like idk more oxygen or something. It's easier to wake up then
- setting up VERY strange and loud music as an alarm. TO SURPRISE MY BRAIN. I get used to every alarm sound over time so I need to change it once in a while.
- VERY high pitched alarm sounds seem to wake me up better. I think humans just find high-pitched sounds way more disturbing and alarming.
- setting up an alarm with vibrations on my phone, putting it on something made of metal (I mostly used a lamp that stands by my bed). When the alarm starts buzzing the vibrations get enchanced by the metal. Combined with loud music it's pretty much the only thing that can wake me up because it's irritating as fuck
- (very dumb but) I drank a lot of water before going to sleep so when I woke up I would need to piss so fucking bad that I HAD TO get out of bed (might also wake you up in the middle of the night. It probably will 50% of time)

Honestly, I always feel sleepy and end up falling asleep easily, but I like to wake myself up by reading. I like to read Japense djs (doujinshi) which are like self-published works that talk about characters I like. I also love to read BL which is just basically gay stories with men lol. I love to read, and I also love to exercise, so I tend to immediately get up to take care of my dogs and workout.

3mg of melatonin works for me

it's propably due to cortisol levels that you wake up in the middle of the night

I would say: try to go to sleep every day at 3:00 if you can and see how it works. technically you are getting 9 hours of sleep which is healthy
