When the pain is too much, how do you push it aside to do things you HAVE to? I'm losing steam.

Lol thats a good question im surprised it wasnt asked before. Honestly if you can't just pull motivation out of nowhere. It can help to do things you like (i.e. take a shower, paint, etc) if that doesn't work you can maybe call a friend or find a copeing strategie. Best of luck✌️🫰

I don't know, but I just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in feeling this way. Doing daily tasks is becoming impossible for me. I've had some minor success with thinking that I'm playing pretend and pretending to be me in my normal less mentally ill state. Like, what would "good" me do? It's not perfect, but sometimes it helps a little.

I really don't anymore. Every so often I'll force myself to do something that needs done. Most stuff gets neglected, though. I have to get going, though, and get some of the things done that are keeping me here.

I don't. Some days are better than others. I found that numbing the pain the night before seems to be helping me the next day. The least I think about the reasons why I want to CTB the better it is. I know in the long term it'll just make things worse tho

Anything that can be pushed off I push off. Showers, toothbrushing, getting dressed, cooking, fuck it. Not doing it. But if there is immediate threat of very severe consequences such as the threat of losing my job if I don't go in, then I'll do it, bare fucking minimum but I'll do it.

The thought of making others cleanup after me, or being a burden to anyone else for that matter, is genuinely upsetting to me. I hate cleaning up after other people and I don't want to inconvenience others with tasks that I could have very easily done myself.

When it comes to things like hygiene, eating, or anything else involving self-care, I tend to neglect that. I don't mind going for awhile without bathing unless I have to be around anyone else.

The only thing I don't know how to keep on pushing myself to do is school-related stuff since the pressure required for me to do well when it comes to that just isn't present.

Your in your right to feel that way

I won't lie sometimes I just dont do it cuz I feel depressed but in a way making them helps me get through the day.

Ofc everybody is different so maybe me cleaning my room seems like a good way to cope and for other people just doesn't.

So take it one step at a time like ive learned in sessions that if you do something like you got out of bed or managed to bathe than you can get a treat like eat something you like or buy something you like or anything else you enjoy.

I hope this helps and if it doesn't thats ok too.

Listen to music or just slowly do the task while crying it out. Showers used to be difficult but now I enjoy them because I can cut during them
