I'm in excruciating neurological pain almost constantly now. Pins and needles all over, muscle twitches, burning pains and sensations... it never ends and nothing works to stop it.

if you have instant physical pain what do you do to deal with it?

I do not have a constant pain, but when I was beaten at home, I was holding my breathe and making all my body tense, like when you do your last set in the gym. Sometimes stronger pain somewhere else can make another pain bearable as well. E.g. I never feel a headache when I eat hot sauce. My mouth is burning but still better than migraine.

I suffer from a whiplash injury since many years, thankfully not so severe and its getting better by time, or maybe my pain threshold is increasing.
I get it's not the same kinds of pain that you have but really the only thing that works when it gets really bad is oxy but I try really hard not to use it.

If you have access to a sauna that's a good relief. Especially if you can combine it with a cold water bath or jumping out in the snow.

Oh I completely forgot, CBD oil also works good against neuromuscular pain.

I'm sure that this doesn't really bear asking, but have you consulted with doctors to try and find something that will help with the pain? I know some pain is impossible to deal with, even with medication, and I also know that a lot of doctors aren't truly helpful, but I thought I would ask anyway.

My ex husband's mother had RA and was in constant pain that sounds similar to yours. She got on a pain medication regiment from her doctor, but it barely put a dent in things. Eventually she found that acupuncture and meditation along with a very easy "stretching" and "yoga" seemed to help with her specific type of pain. She would also get massage and I believe she also found some relief from low doses of CBD and THC.

I'm sorry you're going through this... It's just so hard to imagine so many people out there in so much physical and emotional pain that they aren't able to escape.

I've been waiting to see a neurologist since January. The only thing I've been diagnosed with is b12 deficiency. Had injections and take tablets but b12 levels still low. They also did nothing to help the pain.

I suspect I have nerve damage. But getting help here is so slow. I live in Ireland and even private treatment is slow. At least 6 months for a neurologist.

Sometimes electric stimulation can give encouraging result on neurological pan. I don't know if ketamine is useful on this type of pain, it might be.
Gabaergic can be prescribed too, you might take an appointment with pain specialist. Wish you body comfort.

I used to have terrible back pain which was constant. I found buprenorphine patches helped (Butrans or Norspan). My back got better thankfully. TENS unit was good too.

if you have instant physical pain what do you do to deal with it?
im dealing with Fibromyalgia, waking up with pain all over my body, i do ~7g of kratom/day and the pain is gone within 30 min.
without it i would have to deal with sharp pains all over, especially migraines are very frustrating.

some say kratom isn't addictive, for sure it still works after 7months of daily use for me which is pretty cool and on relatively low doses 5-10gpd, but you can get addicted to it, not sure why some say its not addictive, its obviously a sort of pain killer/mood enhancer which has its addictive side.
beside that it has no real side effects for me, when i do a little too much i get headaches. have been using it for probably 4 years, on and off. have done liver checks since some claim its hepatotoxic, which is a lie to me.

I also made a mix out of several different plant teas, which i grinded to a powder, anti inflammatory, soothing, relaxing tees basically. in addition to kratom, they significantly helped me in managing my pain.

had to give up on sports which i loved a lot due to the pain, i can feel you mediocre, hope you find something to get rid of that pain:heart:

Lidocaine patches can help with neuromuscular pain - I got some from eBay. They help with my ankles which freak out with sharp, excruciating pain for weeks at a time - you can keep them on for 12hrs x

No worries hon, got the same kinda battle in my world atm.
I can't get Kratom or stuff like that, these patches help with that specific kind of sharp nerve pain. Other things I use are ice packs and an electric heated throw for heat therapy, also deep freeze patches and gel, and have recently found the combination of metoclopramide and tramadol of equal effect to the oramorph I've had to take of late... this is good as it will help me ease into my antiemetic regimen for when I decide to CTB.
I know there are many things to try and some might not work but everything is worth a go as long it doesn't cost more than it helps!
I really hope you find relief soon. People don't realise how demoralising chronic pain is x

I found that after a while, pain just stopped meaning much to me. It just becomes a part of everyday life, you get used to it being there, and you develop a tolerance to it. That takes a very long time, though.

In the meantime, while painkillers are great, you can gain a tolerance to most of them, meaning that your dose will have to be raised and eventually they won't work safely anymore, or you're only allowed a short course because of how addictive they can be. Some of them also make it feel worse when you stop taking them.

I haven't tried it myself because of the cost, but I've heard good things about CBD oil, however it's very easy to get scammed when buying it. A lot of the things that are sold as CBD oil don't actually contain any CBD at all.

Chronic Pain

I have neurological pain, and muscular and joint pain. Neurological pain is terrible, especially its effects after long-term constant intensity.

I use kratom (with hydroxyzine), phenibut, gabapentin, cannabis, dextromethorphan, naproxen sodium, and acetaminophen, and sometimes alcohol, for chronic pain.

Dextromethorphan, kratom, phenibut, naproxen sodium, and acetaminophen are all OTC.

Gabapentin is easily prescribed for neurological pain. It's very good, especially with kratom.

Dextromethorphan is a dissociative anaesthetic like ketamine, nitrous oxide, and PCP.

RoboCough.com for DXM

There are loads of vendors for kratom

I don't know if I recommend phenibut, but liftmode.com has it.

Amazon.com has naproxen and acetaminophen.

Chronic pain is devastating.

I wish all drugs were legal and you couldn't be denied euthanasia.

Not with neurological pain all that much. Neurological pain induces opioid insensitivity, which makes it generally get worse over extended periods. It's a biological response to drive one to fix whatever it is inducing the pain, but unfortunately, you can't. It happens to a much lesser extent with other forms of pain.

In my case my pain has gotten progressively worse over about a 4 year period. Getting weaker by the day. Still not used to it and can't function properly. Painkillers do nothing at all for me. Not even amitriptyline.

Haven't tried cbd oil tho but I don't know if I believe in that stuff:/

Yeah, I was fortunate enough that mine hit a point where it stopped getting worse for quite a while. Mine's getting to a point where it's really bothering me again, so it's definitely not an option for everyone. And I can second you on the painkillers, only thing that ever really worked for me is oramorph (orally administered morphine), but it's also incredibly addictive, especially to sufferers of chronic pain. I say that as someone who's had serious issues with it in the past.

Have you tried Kratom? It really helps my pain. I also have burning pain.
Kratom is used for many reasons, anxiety, pain. Kratom is a tropical tree (Mitragyna speciosa) native to Southeast Asia. The leaves are ground into a powder.
It really helps my burning pain.
Kratom can cause effects similar to both opioids and stimulants. Two compounds in kratom leaves, mitragynine and 7-α-hydroxymitragynine, interact with opioid receptors in the brain, producing sedation, pleasure, and decreased pain, especially when users consume large amounts of the plant. Mitragynine also interacts with other receptor systems in the brain to produce stimulant effects. When kratom is taken in small amounts, users report increased energy, sociability, and alertness instead of sedation.

I get mine from Kratom One and I get the Bali Brand.

I simply can't deal with it and it's the reason why I have started to browse on this website.
Chronic inflammations in my eyes, burning and tingling in my hand and in other parts of the body, nerve pain in my forearm.
And no doctor seems to care that this is reaching a far from comfortable level

I have the same types of pain as you in the eyes, arms, legs, feet, hands... especially the nerve endings of my fingers and toes.

have you seen a neurologist?

mm, no. It looks like a reaction of my immune system either to a disease (as I believe) or to an autoimmune disorder. It's already 2 years that it's worsening. Doctors just don't do their job as they should; they just make their hypothesis for the 15 minutes that I'm allowed to stay in their ambulatories, and they don't talk one with the other, neither they recommend me to follow certain treatments or do some specific exams.

I go through the same experience with doctors they are completely clueless. I had to request to see a neurologist all on my own. Trying to figure out what is wrong with you through self diagnosis is impossible. Especially when doctors don't refer you for any scans or further investigations!

I have a condition called CRPS. its known as the suicide disease. I'm on tons of medication such as oral ketamine and infusions in the hospital every 5 weeks. They have stopped my infusion due to Covid. I have since started smoking cannabis. It's illegal here in the UK but its actually helping the worse of my pain flares at the moment.
