It's just that I know I'll be criticized and misunderstood by my family, and it makes me furious that no one I know will defend me.

I've truly suffered in life and that should suffice as my supporting argument, but in conversations I'm basically told to suck it up. Fuck their callousness.

I understand the whole shitty family thing, it sucks.
But don't you feel when you ctb the whole point is you are escaping all of their attitude? So whatever they think it won't matter anymore? Let them get on with it.

People each have different neurological phenotypes. Some make them more susceptible to anxiety and depression, and more receptive to stress hormones, etc. The human experience is completely subjective to each person because of this, and something that bothers one person won't necessarily bother another. People's thought processes are completely different. So it's impossible for someone to know what another person is going through. Everyone experiences the world differently.

Also you were brought into this world by no choice of your own, so you don't owe anyone anything. You're entitled to live your life however you wish, end it however you wish.

This is of course for your own peace of mind. If you try to explain this to the average vapid imbecile their eyes will glaze over at the first mention of "phenotype". They think everyone experiences the same sensory input that they do.
