how do i make peace with death?

I'm very close, but I somehow can't try again. My body won't allow it. I think my failed attempt scared me a bit, but somehow I can't make another attempt.

Why don't you call a helpline and ask them exactly this? You don't lose anything even if you're convinced I'm wrong. You could even ask about others in your situation and how they recovered. I get it that you probably won't want to elaborate on a public forum, this is why I suggest a helpline and because they have most likely heard similar before. Call or text 988 or chat 988lifeline.org if you're in the US, 116 123 if you're UK. (Obviously these numbers are public knowledge, sorry I don't know where you're based).

If I had to go, I would, if I gave up the fight against myself, if I gave in even though I told myself to try... But I'd be at peace with death, looking on to an afterlife with much hope... It's not death I fear, but if there is nothing after we die...
