• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I'm pretty sure my roommate got rid of a very valuable photo to me. It's an irreplaceable family photo from my childhood. Of course I can't prove it but it was in a photo album on a bookshelf. It's not something that would just go missing. When I confronted roomie of course they denied it but they are very moody and do not handle stress well. I don't like to think they did this but seriously what else could have happened to it? I keep trying to just pretend it just miraculously disappeared but still I'm upset. I was going to get a frame for the photo and display it. It's all I have left of my family and childhood and now it's gone. Roomie is a miserable person with a miserable family. I'm too sick to work so have had to settle with living here but what else is going to go missing? I swore I would never have a roommate again. Never had good experiences then I became disabled. I've had roommates steal from me and just do vile shit. I don't trust people anymore. And I've always been too trusting. I wish I was healthy so I could at least get a job and hopefully move out. I just cannot get over this photo. I've been ruminating on it and depressed ever since I discovered it's missing. Oh, and they said they never even saw it. Yes they did because I pulled the album out once to show them and told them how special it is to me. Now they claim they never saw it and didn't know it was special. Just sounds like trying to remove any suspicion like they couldn't possibly have done this because they don't even know what it looks like. Maybe I'm reading into it and wrong but how does a photo just disappear from an album? I even shook the album and the photos don't budge so it's not like it slipped out between the ten steps carrying it. Maybe I'm just silly being this upset over a childhood photo anyway.

I totally understand that. It is very difficult for me to live with someone in the same house/apartment, especially in the same room. I don't trust people too much, I worry too much about things that are valuable to me (there aren't many of them, but still). Now I live with my mother, her roommate in the house, but I am very uncomfortable that they can just come into my room. I hope that you can find a good place for one person, or at least you will find a good neighbor who will be calm and will appreciate your space and things... I'm hugging you and sharing your emotions.

And no, you're not stupid for worrying about the photo. Some things are of special value to us, they are sentimental and dear to us. Some people may not understand this, but even small valuables can cause pain when they are lost, especially when someone does something with them. I really hope that the photo will still be found!
