I just can't. Things drag me down. Maybe you lads will get the idea that I don't actually want to die, but I truly do. I have some happy moments in my life, but objectively looking my life is not worth living.

How do I get courage and determination to do it?

Same here. I want to die so badly, but I can't seem to beat my SI. What are your preferred methods? SI can vary greatly depending on the method. At least that's what I've learned. If you find your method you might have the courage to do it imo

I think suicide is paradoxical in that you're most enabled to do it when you least want it (when you're happy, at peace or content). You ever hear about old guys slowly fading out on their deathbeds surrounded by loved ones? That's probably the vibe you want to go for, if you can manage to simulate it. I bet that's close to how those monks who set themselves on fire feel. I don't personally think it's a matter of courage- courage can always falter, but instead of eliminating fear.

The feeling for me comes and goes even though i know i have to go. It comes when something horrible happens and then i eventually hit a numb place, where i still dont want to be alive but the need is not as extreme and I don't actively do anything either way. I am currently in that numb place. Just have to wait for the next horrible thing to happen when my N gets here (this week) and I'm good to go. Not sure what else could go wrong at this point but i have no doubt something else will and soon...maybe you should wait for a catalyst and have everything prepared in the interim?

If you don't want to go, then don't. NO ONE in this world knows if the afterlife is even real or not.

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having brother.
I think that lament of fear of dying, tired of living is one lots of people can relate to.
Alas I can't help you with overcoming the SI (this is providing hugely vexing for me).
Something that some people have suggested is that they do like 'practice' runs.
I sincerely hope you find some light and peace in your future brother.

What's your method? That will depend on how.

I think this is a good point. But how do you eliminate the fear?

It depends on the method and the person. Don't you think?
I guess so. Evolutionarily speaking, humans are programmed to avoid pain, so it makes sense that we all fear death to some degree. I suppose getting rid of that fear has to do with the way you view death, so changing the way you view death is the first step to allow yourself to accept death rather than fear it.

You need to accept it before you can do it.

My method is probably going to be full though, because although I'll be ready we have a natural will to survive.

Just be mentally prepared leading in
