Learn a skill you enjoy and join some kind of social group that lets you do it.

Also I'm not a mod or anything, but this would really be better classified under either of the other two major areas...

Only a very, very small percentage of people who are seen as "Talented" actually have an innate inability. The vast majority of people put in a lot of hard work to develop a skill over a period of time. It's hard work, but if you can dedicate yourself to it, there's no reason why you can't develop such a skill.

And it helps on the loneliness side too. Having something you're passionate about and understand acts as a good talking point when you meet new people, makes you seem interesting to other people, all that stuff which aids in making friends.

It's hard work, especially depending on your current life situation, how much energy you can spend on developing a new skill, etc. But if you find something you're passionate about and actually enjoy studying, it makes it even easier.

My passion was always animation. Traditional 2D, 3D, all of that. I made a lot of friends through it. It's a hidden passion of mine. Find what you enjoy and just fucking go for it. If you're asking on these forums, you've not got much to lose by taking a shot at it. And if you've got access to the Internet, you've got access to more recourses and information for learning than any human in history up until this point in your hand. Make the most of it.

"Talent" is mostly BS, skill is developed through continuous practice.

I had a professor once that always told us talent is simply the result of practice. With enough practice you can be or do anything that you want to do. Nobody is great at anything their first time and even if they seem to be practice still makes them better. Look around your space, find something you enjoy and just immerse yourself in it.

Gaining a skill is the easier of those two because it's more consistent. Put in x you get y. With some variation. The general idea of practicing and working hard will develop the corresponding skill.Lonely is harder.

We all have one. Maybe if you ask someone close to you, they can tell you. Sometimes others see what we don't see.
