This topic is quite frightening to many I assume, including myself. It has been the main thing holding me back from death, aside from failing again and causing worse brain damage than did the last attempt. It appears we live in some war cosmos either ruled by either nothing, or a sadistic god that loves to see creatures torture one another. If we are being honest with ourselves, we probably know nothing about the nature of reality, besides the fact that it is driven by suffering. I would love to have hope in some pleasant afterlife awaiting us but I'm not so optimistic after seeing how creatures are built, driven, and dealt with on planet earth. Currently, I'm highly confused as to why we find ourselves in this absurd and tragic predicament of existence, but more specifically, I feel terrible for fellow sufferers like us who have clearly been pushed to the edge. I am leaning towards the speculation of the prison planet theory. Perhaps this is a cosmic dumpster, prison, laboratory, gas station, or any combination of the former. I wish we could know with certainty what awaits us after we die without having to commit, and know what the consequences are of checking out of this meat grinder of a world. This was a bit of a rant and I apologize. Please feel free to share your thoughts as to what you think awaits after death, if anything, and to vent if you also have a fear of what's to come.

Hopefully you guys aren't suffering much.

I believe in either a separate spirit realm or nothingness. Knowing we all die eases my mind that the afterlife if it exist is out of my control.

I don't believe the afterlife is different for a ctber vs a natural death.

My advice is don't torment yourself about it. We can't control what happens after and we all will be there or not if it doesn't exist.

Like Seeking_Peace I don't believe the afterlife would be different for anyone.

Even though as far as I know, according to science, when you die you're just gone, nothing, endless oblivion that you won't even be aware of because you'll be gone.
But I still like to believe that there's something more, my grandpa who I was very close with, died last year. And he firmly believed in Heaven, so I hope for him that it's real. Personally I would love it if we do become ghosts and we just kinda get to float along, exploring the universe, seeing how loved ones are doing, maybe even speak with other ghosts and eventually be reunited with our loved ones when they too die and become ghosts
