How are people brave enough to end their life by gun? Thinking of MAID legally.

I'm planning legal physician assisted. But it's in another country so far away. And I'm not even sure what to do. Just get a plane ticket to Belgium and then go to any primary care doctor?

Wish I was brave enough to get things done myself.

That's not true fyi. You do not need to be a citizen and idk about Netherlands. It Belgium grants it even in cases of depression. They do make you wait three months and have a few appts with a psychologist to make sure you're not rushing it. So you do have to "live" there for three months. But you don't need to be a citizen.

Not sure where u got that information from, I did search for it, but could not find it.
I'm afraid three months is where your procedure would start (the queue is probably much longer, maybe up to 2 years I assume). For depression you're probably looking at 2 years or longer before they can make a decision. And most of the time people get rejected for it.

Sorry that I don't have that much back-up with my statements interms of sources for my information.
But look, if belgium would be a place where people could just book a place for 3 months and get MAID then it would have spreaded all over the forums.
I would even have taken a look at it if it was accessible.

you do have to be very brave to shoot yourself with a gun.

but bullets travel faster . but imo it's better to use the highest velocity you can get.

i would be using a rifle bullet that travels 2600 feet per second or 792 meters per second.

the nerve impulse has to reach the brain then the brain has to become aware of that pain which takes more time.

The thing with firearms is you need access to a gun that will do the job. Just any ole gun is going to have you in the hospital with life changing injuries. Happens all the time.

Those firearms happen have big price tags.


Just because people have been talking a lot about gore lately; There is a reason the cartels put 10-20 bullets in somebodies head. These guys know a little about taking lives.

I can promise in most cases it's not instant. It usually takes days in the hospital before you pass. You are unconscious though.

i know you think that, and if it's done perfectly it could be true. But the reality is, (and I speak from experience working most of my life as a firearms instructor at a gun range) that most people that commit suicide with a gun do not aim it perfectly, and end up maiming themselves. And even when they do, still alive in the hospital for days after, although unconscious.

Switzerland has a couple of clinics that accept non nationals. Pegasos and Dignitas are the ones I've seen. I don't think Belgium accept people from other countries.

the many many gun suicides i've seen on watcpeople die they were all unconscious instantly and died . many of these were with tiny handguns. some rifles and shotguns can have 10 times the energy and power of these handguns in the videos. the head will rupture over 2700 foot pounds energy in a contact shot. if the head is hit with the rifle or shotgun no chance of survival.

herman the shocker also has gun suicides . even a 44 magnum ruptured / exploded the head . and a 44 magnum is many times less powerful than a rifle or shotgun.
