Drs suck mega ass!

I'm not sure if many people have experienced this but a few years ago I had a serious reaction to garbage meds and was brought to the hospital and left to die in the hospital.
I'm not fucking kidding and this was in buttfuck Canada! They left me in a fucking wheelchair to die and refused to help me, they then tried to cover it up with a fake triage report.
I should've gone violent on their asses the next day but I was too goddamned sick.
Has anyone had a similar experience? Drs fucking suck ass!

Oh, yes, Nem. I have.

But you know all about what happened to me. And it was recent. Usually my care is okay at best. This time I was a labrat and spoken to like a child and as if my illnesses were a joke and beautiful.

I thought it sounded like you had received reasonable care but had a jerk of a dr...I didn't receive any care at all, absolutely nothing but left to die. To this day I have to hold back on going psycho with a bat

My care was only reasonable when the nurses had control. Which wasn't very often. I'm sorry Nemmy.

I'm in the USA. I got kicked out because my insurance ran out. I had hypoxia and my oxygen LEO dropping. The poor resident felt so bad. She told me to call 911 and go to another hospital.

I've gone to the hospital a couple of times, and they only treated me poorly when I wouldn't cooperate.

Can they really do this?

Depends on what exactly your reaction was, what your symptoms were, vital signs, etc. There's a number of variables that would separate sub-par care from medical negligence.

Deceptive charting, however, is a truly egregious offense. It's professionally reprehensible, and it's legally fraud.

Regardless of what happened, I'm sorry you had such a negative experience.

It's posts like this that make me glad we have the NHS. It's understaffed but we still get free medical care.

There is only one incident that was appalling to me. Over 20 years ago I took an overdose and was sent to A&E and then resus. I was force fed charcoal and in and out of consciousness but the Dr saying he had real patients to see! By morning my stats were ok and I was then shoved in the corridor connected to a drip. I felt so ashamed that I pulled the drip out and got my clothes and caught the bus home.

You wouldn't be discharged for lack of a payor source if you were exhibiting signs of any actively life-threatening conditions. That would constitute malpractice, and leave the hospital vulnerable to a potential lawsuit.

If your O2 sat was below 88% and/or unstable, or if you were displaying signs of respiratory distress, they were probably negligent to have discharged you.

They NEVER checked my vitals or knew what I was taking, I have this written out online and the whole thing is true or I would be in trouble legally for slander. It was a combination of ss/nms and I have muscle atrophy, nerve damage, brain injury and kidney damage from the muscle wasting.
I had two triage reports one fake one real. My ex saw both and refused to help me, I have zero respect for so-called health professionals, they cover up mistakes better than politicians.Worst experience of my life and I deal with the damage daily.
The muscles around my eyes atrophied and it feels like I'm wearing goggles constantly, I'm shocked I never went back with a baseball bat and settled the score

I'm in Canada and we have free medical care as well. When things are free, you get what you paid for

Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience and are still suffering like this. That really is shocking to me.

Have you made a formal complaint?

I live in the UK. Our NHS is "free at the point of use" but not actually free - we pay for it, mostly via taxes (on our wages but also each time we purchase anything, and via national insurance). It's not perfect but it's at least as good, often much better, than any private healthcare available either here or elsewhere.

Large chunks of it have, sadly, been sold off/privatised in recent years which has led to some decline in quality of provision, as has government cuts to funding under the austerity regime, but it remains as I say mostly very high quality. There are of course exceptions but most of the staff are dedicated, hardworking, and very committed to their patients and to the NHS as a whole.

Gotcha. If you were left sitting in an ER without any kind of basic assessment, that's inexcusable.

I still have nightmares about it, I wrote a review of the hospital and my therapist recommended suing them, my ex threatened break up if I sued and I was near death after this happened. My ex was a freakin A-hole
