So I I finally decided to go through with partial. I put the rope with a slipknot around my neck high as possible standing on a bag of garden soil so my feet wouldn't touch the ground & leaned back (knot front of neck so I could breathe) with as much weight as possible & thought I passed out but then about 30 seconds later I was either having a very intense seizure, extreme convulsions, or a stroke.. All of a sudden I was just shaking so badly while wide awake & was unaware what was happening for a min then I had a panic of cold fear & had to undo the knot it was so hard to get undone but i did it & my head was pounding, had petechia dots on my face & bad bruising from the knot when I went inside & looked in the mirror while wondering if I had brain damage, i feel the same as before now but I'm terrified to try partial again after this... What was the shaking? & why didn't I lose consciousness sorry I tried to explain the best I can.

Oh my god. I am so sorry. I don't know what went wrong. I couldn't go through with partial. You got farther than I did. I hope you're feeling better....physically anyway. I know the emotional pain is probably worse. :(

It sounds like you had a seizure. Googled seizure aftercare, found this from an epilepsy site:

Some people recover quickly from a tonic clonic seizure but often they will be very tired, want to sleep and may not feel back to normal for several hours or sometimes days.

Have you had a look at the night-night method megathread? It seems much less violent..
Btw I'm really sorry you had to go through this.. ♡♡♡

Thank you, I think you're right, because on Google it says a tonic clonic seizure involves a loss of consciousness.
I just find it crazy how I didn't entirely pass out though instead of just causing a seizure because there was so much pressure. This sucks..

The "night night" method would be so hard to pull off honestly. I thought of that at one point/tourniquet method it's just too hard...

I'm so sorry. I know what that feels, I also failed at partial several times. It's just my guess, but maybe because you placed the knot in front of your neck and your carotids didn't blocked completely. There'd be enough pressure, but I mean the position of the rope would be wrong. As you said that you've got petechia, I guess the blood flow wasn't entirely blocked(though if you're doing partial you can still get those since there are another arteries delivering blood to your face, but it wouldn't be really bad I guess). How's your eye? I didn't only get petechia but subconjunctival hemorrhage after it. Did you feel the pressure building up your head?

Having seizure that doesn't mean that you're gonna pass out right away. I sometimes just choke myself and, even I didn't apply enough pressure my body's still shaking, and I'm still kinda conscious during that time.
