Hope can certainly prolong our misery in some cases. Though in a rare optimistic mood I don't mind it. If I wanted to live, I'd prefer to have something to keep me going even through the bad times.

I don't even have hope these days as much as I have doubt about what I feel. I know how I feel, but I worry it's just me being dramatic, and like I'd somehow regret committing suicide… it's better when I remember I won't be around to regret it.

I think that hope often just leads to more suffering which is why I am glad that I have none. It can be painful losing hope. Life is very unfair and is extremely depressing. It seems like things only get worse. I personally think that having hope can often be delusional in a world where there is so much pain.
