Is there any way you could play the "science" card? As in you've taken an interest in a certain science experiment using SN? Maybe use one of SN's traditional uses as an excuse. It's used for curing meat for example and I think I read somewhere here it might be used in gardening. You'd have do to your own digging. It all depends on how much or how little your parents know about SN and your thought process.

Well I did use that excuse of experiment with my dad but my mom is a little smarter and knows just a little too much my dad believed it but not my mom
