I have a bottle of Ether and I'm thinking about killing myself with it by throwing a sock covered in it into a bag and throwing it over my face, but I'm not sure what the best way to do that would be. This stuff used to be used for anesthesia, so it's basically guaranteed to be painless, but my experience in huffing this stuff so far is that it can get pretty gnarly at high doses, so that it might be better to just huff enough to not feel anything then hang myself.

I wish I was as high as those guys were.
What is it?

It's a clear liquid that you breath in. It was one of the first anesthetics ever used before they switched to less volatile and flammable gases. They still used it into the 70's. Back in those days if one guy walked into the operating room with a cigarette everyone would have been blown sky high.

What about taking it before drowning into river/sea?

I hope you're right. Think twice.

I'm still experimenting with this stuff, but so far it seems like the anesthetic effects are pretty reliable. At a certain dose my whole body goes numb.

In that case, I'd go with drowning.

Ether isn't used as an anesthetic anymore, and the feds consider it a poison not a narcotic, now they just use it in states fluid and as a solvent in labs. I bought mine from Carolina Chemicals over amazon. ACS Reagent, purest grade there is.

I am guessing that it is Diethyl Ether which you have purchased. It is a very dangerous chemical to handle. For one thing is it highly flammable, its vapors are much denser then air so it tends to stay in a room. Once the container is opened and it is exposed to air, it will form explosive peroxides. The MSDS for this is CAS No 60-29-7. There are much better methods than this which can be dangerous to anyone in building with you.

It has an inhibitor.

What if it were to be used with sleeping pills, then rag with ether covering the mouth and nose, then plastic bag over head?

Ether always reminds me of this song by one of my favorite artists:

Might help, but if I back out I will have wasted my hydroxyzine and clonidine.

hi, Could you provide details about how you constructed your setup with ether for testing? Also could you tell us what was the dose where your whole body went numb , and how long does the anesthetic effect lasts?

I only considered drowning .An anesthetic could help freediving blackout or drowning imo . i hadn't thought about hanging yet . but maybe i don't know . i haven't really done much thinking about any of this except speculating and no tests yet . don't know if i will. problem is i have too many methods and i need to focus on one and just do it.
