Ive been having the same migraine attack since Wednesday in pm (its been ~68 hours).
Thursday, my head hurt quite a bit but it was still bearable (6.5/10), the main issue is the hallucinations I started having. On Thursday, on my way home due to the pain, I started hearing whisperings and machine noises as clear as if they were in my ear or right next to it. The sounds were accompanied by distortions in my view, the kind I see when I dream or Im high on psychedelics: things mix and match then go back to normal, I see patterns and lines a bit randomly. I arrived shortly after, took a quick meal and a couple quetiapine-melatonin and went to sleep around 7pm. Im not sure what caused this and they didnt last longer than 30 minutes so I wasnt too worried.
I woke up on Friday with an even worse head pain (8/10), my head was spinning, I had such a hard time walking. I stayed home all day, in my room, with the lights closed and in silence. The pain dropped to 7/10. I had to go outside and the pain spiked back to 8/10. I saw a pharmacist, he gave me codeine pills and I later saw a doctor who gave me triptans (sumatriptan). Codeine helped, dropping the pain back to 7/10. I stayed on them most of the day until the triptans were ready at the pharmacy. Once I got them, I took my dose and laid in bed with my eyes closed for maybe 1h, I couldn't sleep and it was just 8pm. I could hear a heavy machine noise again, this time in my room and it was loud. I opened my eyes to look around, still under shock. There was a girl's voice talking, loud enough to be understood but the words didn't seem to make sense. I got an intense urge to ctb, I didnt have anything on hand luckily. There wasnt any visuals this time and the voice was gone after a few minutes. I went to sleep not too long after that, unsure if the triptan worked for my migraine.
This morning I woke up with the same damned migraine. 7/10 still. Hurts but bearable yk. I took my morning meds, went to clean my face in the bathroom, drank a glass of water, etc. Then, I went back to bed and my headache spiked to 9/10 for a like 10 seconds. It went back down to 8/10 I took the sumatriptan I had left. No effects yet.
I have 4 codeine pills left. 0 triptans left. I need to go to the pharmacy but the light, the sound, the people, theyre all just too much right now. Being on my phone makes the migraine worse but what can I say, my phone takes my mind off the pain at least a bit. The doctor from yesterday said the visuals and sounds were auras but theyre not like the ones Ive had in the past, its always been flashes and vision loss before, this time, it felt more dreamy-psychedelic like. I sometimes hallucinate from lack of sleep but Ive been resting in bed in the past 2 days so Idk. If anyone has any advice or ideas please let me know, Im not sure of what to do and it will have been 72hours soon.
