I've been dealing with deteriorating health for a while now. At first it was just heart palpitations, then dizziness, then it was exhaustion all the time. Now it's brain fog and constant insomnia. I got checked out a few times but the doctors couldn't find anything wrong. It's like it's getting worse over time. I'm just wondering if anyone else is suffering similar issues and what you do to cope.

I'm not suffering similar issues. But I think you should try to see some specialists. Especially if these things have started occurring in close proximity time wise.

It can take multiple specialists to diagnose potential complex or rare diseases. I wish you the best and hopefully the deterioration atleast slows down a bit.

They didn't start close together. It's been gradual over 15 years starting with dizziness. A few years later the palpatations started then about 2/3 years ago the other things started with insomnia starting last year.

Thing is that no one believes me about how bad it is. Idk any specialists where I am who can help and the doctors I can get to won't even give me a referral.
What I'm really looking for is a general timetable for how long it takes before it gets worse. I'm planning on ctb as soon as I get everything.

Hard to say without knowing more about you, but the symptoms you mentioned are all associated with anxiety for me.

Someone told me that before. Thing is that I've worked hard to limit my anxiety and stress. It shouldn't be like this when I should be able to relax. I've been dxed with Major depression and anxiety if that helps.

I had really bad palpitations, dizzyness, brain fog and extreme exhaustion for many years at the onset of my disease, ME/CFS. The palpitations subsided with the help of therapy and ssri, as they were caused by anxiety. The dizzyness and exhaustion have, unfortunately, never disappeared. They are my constant companions. Brain fog I get when I work too much or get very stressed. I forget things, can't concentrate, and have a hard time reading or following complex train of thoughts.

Have you considered the possibility that your symptons might be psychosomatic? That would explain why nothing shows on the tests.

I've thought of that too, that's why I've been trying to stay relaxed. But it really hasn't helped. Idk what to do anymore.

These are very complex issues and also quite non-specific, so it's hard to pinpoint their exact source. I keep my fingers crossed for you that you find a good diagnostician. Hang in there!

That's all I can do at this point. I just need to hang in there long enough to ctb. I just don't want to get to a point where I can't. Thank you all for your replies.

i'm on the same boat, my health has been progressively getting worse for years and doctors can't find the reason, they only diagnosed me with specific chronic conditions and prescribe accordingly but never bother looking at the big picture or why i have so many illnesses at the same time. and this is something very common, many people with these kind of issues find that doctors don't believe us and in some cases label us as hypochondriacs, at least you are not alone in getting dismissed by doctors if that offers any consolation.

the way i cope is with drugs and distractions, the pain i can control with weed and many forms of painkillers, but the brain fog and chronic fatigue are even worse most of the times, not even a high dose of caffeine (and some withe powder famous in my country) can help, i just try to lay down and sleep if i can when they flare up.

Disautonomia? A friend told me about that. No one where I live believes it exists. Quite honestly after what I've been through with mental health, I'm done. I barely have the energy to get up in the morning, much less to run to more doctors so they can screw me up even worse. I just need enough time to carry out my plan. I'm done with "life".

no one where you live believes in dysautonomia? Wow. I've had terrible experiences with doctors myself but that's a new one. That's beyond ridiculous. They need to go back to med school. Dysautonomia is a common condition resulting from a lot of different conditions. POTS is also a condition featuring dysautonomia. Honestly your symptoms do fit but it could be something else, you wouldn't know without testing.

but I definitely also relate to giving up with doctors after what they put me through aswell so it's a tough one

i relate so much to this, some people don't seem to understand that some illnesses not always show symptoms on the outside. you can look fine and healthy and still be suffering from something that you don't even understand.

sorry that you are going through this, i know how hard it is to not be taken seriously by doctors and close people, they only started taking me seriously after i lost weight and began to look like an HIV patient.

I have similar symptoms. Day 7 insomnia and yesterday I wrote how I left my eggs boiling on the stove and almost burnt my house down and forgot to plug in my crock pot.

I am thinking it's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There are no tests. You basically rule everything else out.

Yea i guess you could say it's getting worse, sleep about twice a week, heart palpitations, burning/stabbing sensation near heart and on right side of chest, vomiting a lot with blood mixed in, coughing up blood

That's the definition of invisible illnesses. People don't believe they exist so they'll always rule them out.
I'm sorry anyone has to suffer because they won't be believed.

I believe that's part of it. I have to drink energy drinks just so I don't feel like I'm walking through haze everyday. I've had insomnia for a while now. I can't sleep before 3.
I'm sorry you're going through this.

You should be able to get some help if you're coughing up blood, that's really serious. I can relate to the sharp pain. It happens everywhere on me at random and I learned not to react to not draw attention to myself. When I lay down my heart will start skipping beats to where it feels like it's stopped. It's scary tbh. I'm sorry you're going through that.
