Either before or during. How did the person react, and treat you afterwards?
I was 'saved' by my narcissistic psychopath ex. By saved I mean that after establishing that I'd overdosed he drove me half an hour away from the hospital to my parents house to get praise for helping, instead of just helping. He continued to be an abusive asshole afterwards, treating me like shit and using me for money. He even made me book him a weekend trip for his birthday, then ghosted me out of nowhere 3 weeks after my attempt (before the trip and without paying me back). Why save someone just to put them through even more shit, then ghost them?! If you care so little about me that you ghost me, why not just fucking let me die in the first place.
My parents (also abusive) also continued with the same behaviour they had before the attempt, but had the audacity to use it for attention and pity from others. They then went on a 2 month vacation and text me twice a month letting me know what they're doing. No sign of asking how I am or what I'm up to though. Lol.
Has anyone else had any experience of being found or 'saved'? More positive than mine, I hope
