Discussion Have you ever attempted suicide at school?

I had and it was weird. Like nobody really cared and nobody in the school knew about it. Nobody saw the ambulance. I think it's better like this but I wanted to know your experiences

Yeah i know but I just took a lot of pills that morning and then I just went to school, I didn't even really think about it

No, but one time I got frustrated and decided to say "I'm gonna kill myself" infront of my teacher and the vp and they responded with something along the lines of getting the police involved (I can't exactly remember). It sucks because I said it so loudly that I don't know if other students heard smh
I was talking with them though and I said it so it's not like I ran up to them just to say that

I didn't attempt suicide, but I cut at school then left my arm bloody under my sweatshirt multiple times. One time that I did it unfortunately a concerned "friend" pulled up my sleeve before I could stop them. They promised to keep it a secret but they lied and told a teacher. Yeah, that sucked.

Man this reminds me of this girl I knew who would cut on the bus and at school. She was open about her fucked up life, her dad raped her a lot when she was younger etc. Except it was the opposite, everyone made fun of her, tried making friends with her but she thought I just wanted sex and eventually disappeared but she often would talk about killing herself to send people a message. To this day I still wonder what ever happened and kinda play that scene in The Butterfly Effect near the end.

People suck.

But there was a successful one right after school, she was 14. Her brother talked her into committing suicide together (he was my age, like 17). She went first, watched her blow her brains out and backed out.

There were two more so I'm getting the vibe I went to a fucked up school.

A couple of times actually. Some half assed and some genuine. Two overdose but the effects didn't hit me till after school ended. There was a sorta half assed third one too that was using benzos that wouldn't have worked. I told multiple people what was in the bottle and no one believed me. Kinda gave up because I got too depressed to kill myself that day.

There was also a bar on top of one of the toilets in school. Tried to hang myself on it a couple times to feel the pain and go through the motion.. Then one day I was serious about doing it and it broke.

I haven't, but a girl I was close with from one of my hospitalizations ctb by hanging herself in the school bathroom. She was bullied badly and school officials knew but didn't do much of anything to help her, so I'd guess she was sending a bit of a message with that.

Tried to practice partial hanging in one of the bathrooms. I kept that method in mind until someone from my school committed suicide from a nearby building. It seemed that the height was enough to instantly kill me.
