For me, I can't find a forensic psychiatrist to make the assessment online in regarding my mental capacity for my decision of euthanasia.

There have been cases, but it's rare. Also, I think you would have to use their psychiatrists, not shop around "online" for one, unless I am misunderstanding you.

I've been informed that I should find one by myself.

Informed by whom? Under Swiss Law your assisted suicide will require the assessment of Swiss Psychiatrists, not some random one you find.

This is from information letter they sent to me:

"How can I find a psychiatrist for the in-depth medical report?
- As mentioned earlier in this paper, the in-depth psychiatric assessment is best
done by an independent psychiatrist with a forensic/analytic approach. Such
independent psychiatrist is more likely to assess your case without prejudice.
- Research the internet and/or your local telephone directory by using key
words such as: medical expert, psychiatric expert, forensic psychiatrist or
psychiatric assessment.
- Visit your local public library or a bookstore. Look for professional literature
on the subject of forensic psychiatry and medical-psychiatric assessments and
copy the authors list. Or google published studies and look for the authors and
contributors."

Jesus, I'm sorry. That's horribly onerous. Sorry I can't be of more help, really wish I could.

It may be that the Swiss shrinks get final say whilst an independent gets the initial application moving(?)

GHB looks peaceful as a method. Much cheaper than Dignitas. I also thought about Dignitas, but it doesn't look like they are really looking after those with mental illness. I saw one article where they were blasted for helping a man with depression ctb. The frankly stupid opinion given was that "depression is not serious and is treatable" which is total BS.

I have tried Dignitas and, unfortunately it is not possible. Ideally, one has to be a citizen of Switzerland toe en qualify...

That can't be right they told me I could apply even though I'm in Ireland, where do you live?

Perhaps it is because I am a u.s. citizen, yes? I don't know, actually. Frankly, others dissuaded me, claiming that dignitas took the only the Swiss. If I am wrong, I will certainly contact them again. I thought, ideally, that I could embark on a whirlwind tour of e.u.; end it in Switzerland

Never heard of mental issues being taken in. Like you say mostly the Swiss only have luck on that part. I do hope you find a way there

Look at the new clinic Pegasos - they seem like they might take people for mental illness on discussion. I am going to try and contact them this week.

All the clinics in Switzerland take non Swiss - if you watch the Terry Pratchett assisted dying documentary - it focuses on people from Britain who go to Dignitas.

Here is hte link fo rPegasos: https://pegasos-association.com/

If you do go to Switzerland for this - it is soooo beautiful. So a final trip is a great idea! I took the Bernina Express, which is a very scenic train ride, last year. I was in tears with depression on that train ride - but it is still a good view.

GHB I believe gives a peaceful death and isn't too hard to source. I don't have any yet, but this reminds me to get some. Maybe that should be my method. I have been leaning towards Fent but maybe GHB is easier.
