I've really been wondering how many people have failed at partial. I feel like with a good turkey roasting bag over my head, and using a belt that I will tighten to compress my carotids right before I slouch forward to partially hang, that nothing will be able to stop me ('cept for being 'saved', of course.) I just have been having dreadful thoughts of somehow being stuck with a belt around my neck, 'half-dead', without the strength to cut the belt and free myself, or the strength to tighten the belt which is the only thing I think of that can go wrong, is me not thightening the belt enough. But I plan to tighten it til I start to feel the 'dizzy point' and then lean forwards. I feel like the plastic bag tucked under the belt should take care of this...even if the bag horrifically kills me, rather than finding a peaceful death through compression. I've been thinking about this a lot and I think that the method i described will be safer than just a bag+tourniquet, as the tourniquet lever could somehow unwind...but once the belt is tight enough, it won't unwind because of the way it's designed, with two D rings...so it really acts almost like a ratchet strap. Any thoughts, links, resources?
