Has anyone else overdosed on Amitriptlyne?

I used 1400mg which I've since found out isn't enough. Nonetheless, I was awoken in ICU with a tube down my throat. I was also hallucinating while in the hospital and it was a VERY unpleasant time. I never knew what were real and was hearing voices. Its made me scared of poisoning myself as a ctb method. While I did drift off and there was no pain physically, the mental stuff I was experiencing was worse imo. I also woke up at one point confused screaming I was dying and I couldn't do anything about it. There was a window of consciousness that I knew I was about to lose again any minute. All I can remember is seeing the door handle. I stumbled outside (no idea how) feels like your legs are jelly. I was found on the road. People say they want a peaceful death I feel like that's almost impossible taking something that alters your brain?

Sorry for your experience. 5 grams is the minimum lethal dose of amitriptyline and you need 8-10 grams of it according to Peaceful Pill Handbook.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I've been in drug-induced psychosis a handful of times and it's a horrible experience especially when you're out of it and you realize everything you saw wasn't real... If you want to ctb again i would highly recommend using SN or an opiate instead. If you use something else, make sure you research the effects of overdosing because there are a lot of drugs that will give you a horrifying experience like what you just went through.

Yes, but not as a suicide attempt. I was having a bad time at work and didn't want to go in (wanted to sleep all weekend instead) so I popped a load of amitriptyline, some nortriptyline, and some diazepam. Spent two nights in hospital, the first of which I don't remember at all. Woke up with ECG stuff stuck to me. I'm sure it can work at the right dosage. I just remember feeling drowsy.

- 30mg of metoclopramide (taken 40 minutes prior to drinking the cup of amitriptyline, to prevent vomit¹)
- 8000-10.000mg of amitriptyline (dissolved in a cup of water, to make drinking easy)
- 300mg of diazepam (long-acting benzodiazepine²)
- 300mg of midazolam (fast-acting benzodiazepine³)
- 2000mg of cimetidine (which reduces our body's ability to metabolize amitriptyline)
- vodka (which removes the bad taste from the mouth and increases the central nervous system depression [reduces brain activity]).

¹can be replaced by other anti-emetic, like 20mg of domperidone taken 1 hour before drinking the amitriptyline drink.

²can be replaced by other benzodiazepine with long half-life

³can be replaced by other benzodiazepine with short half-life

PPH says that, although amitriptyline is very effective (even by itself), it's the benzodiazepines that render the death peaceful.

I wouldn't say it's a bad method. I would say, though, that just like most methods, the procotol should be followed correctly in order to ensure that one gets the desired outcome.

Lethal if taken enough. Beta blocker ODs can cause seizures though, so benzos would go well with that.

I still have trauma about the things I was seeing "not being real" they were real.. I'm not that much of an imaginative person and the things I saw as I was scrolling a news site, imagine all your biggest fear. News stories of horrendous stuff, scrolling scrolling hoping it'd go away and the new stories were getting worse with scary photos. I dunno what that was man... makes me feel like there's a real dark aspect of life we cannot see. Shit is beyond fucked up. I know it was psychosis... but what even is "psychosis... PTSD. For real.

availability is different depending on who you are, in what country you live, how much money you have to spend etc...

I can take me as an example, amitriptyline is way more available to me than any barbiturate.

also, not everyone likes the idea of buying things from the blackmarket, as they are often falsified or cut with other unknown substances, having dubious purity, just like happens with anabolic steroids, recreational drugs and other illegal substances...

often times you just need to ask your doctor, saying that you have migraines / insomnia / anxiety etc and that you used to take the drug before, stopped due to weight gain, and want to go back to it now to treat your symptoms. a quick research on its uses and side effects to inform you, can really make you look like someone who used it before and most doctors won't suspect that you have CTB intentions.

Wow. I'm very sorry you had to go through that. Sounds frightening. I took 160mg of Xanax a month ago. Mixed it with vodka, lost my senses and puked. Only found that out after a 7 day stay in a mental facility. Impulsiveness is never good when trying this. I learned that the hard way

Add more 3-5 grams amitriptyline, you want to be sure about this main ingredient dose. You can adjust the dose of the rest substances but better not with the primer.
