Just get a sturdy rope from a hardware store. I got a 10m non-stretch rope with a breaking strength of 400kg for about 10 dollars, I'm sure you can afford that.

Most dog leashes come with the opening for you to place your hand in. Couldbt you feed the one end through there? You might not even have to make knot. It should tighten up pretty good. I don't really know. Never considered a dog leash.

Just my 2 cents.

Surely that will induce a lot of pain can't see the pic of the lead but guessing skip knots are chains ??
