Just get a sturdy rope from a hardware store. I got a 10m non-stretch rope with a breaking strength of 400kg for about 10 dollars, I'm sure you can afford that.

Problem is I cannot figure out how to tie a proper knot

Most dog leashes come with the opening for you to place your hand in. Couldbt you feed the one end through there? You might not even have to make knot. It should tighten up pretty good. I don't really know. Never considered a dog leash.

Just my 2 cents.

I bought a leash almost identical to that. Does anyone know if that would work? Really considering, just don't want to fail for multiple obvious reasons. Also considering being quite intoxicated while doing so. Would be doing short drop. Anyone with experience trying to gang themselves is more than welcome to comment

Surely that will induce a lot of pain can't see the pic of the lead but guessing skip knots are chains ??
