If you shoot yourself in the head and miss the brain stem, how painful would that death be? Compared to something like hanging or SN

I've heard as long as you get the midbrain or brainstem, you're good and dead. However, if you miss those two and just get the forebrain or face, then congratulations, you are still alive and have a gaping hole in yer face. Pretty painful in my opinion, hopefully the blood loss gets ya and you don't end up saved or something.

i think with a shotgun or powerful rifle deep inside the mouth angled at 45 degrees very difficult to not kill the brain stem imo most of the brain will be destroyed or head will explode

A shotgun's projectiles are just going to obliterate anything in their path.

it's hard to mess up with a shotgun. the thing you have to wary of with a normal gun is flinching right before pulling the trigger. that could mess up the angle badly.
