Gunshot location

While I have not set a date or am even sure I will, I'm doing my research and deciding between "behind the ear" or "mouth." The illustration seems to suggest that if the mouth is chosen, the angle would only need to be less than 45 degrees. Behind the ear seems pretty sure if a decent caliber is used (I will be using a 45 cal) but potential flinching could miss the mark.
Thoughts would be appreciated.

If this is your chosen method then I wish you the best of luck, but gun suicides are incredibly messy for those who find you and a horrible find as well. On a personal note, I would put it inside my mouth if I was doing it. I don't know why but it just feels more accurate. I've seen and heard about several gun suicides where they went behind the ear or the side of the head and survived with horrible injuries.

Who says that? I did a lot of research on the gun method. I never found anything that said that. Shooting thru the mouth is the entry place that causes the most survivals from self inflicted gunshot.

Cleanup won't be an issue. I will be as considerate as I possibly can, probably outside.

Any member can create a megathread on this forum. If they post false information, they are never held responsible. If any other member just notices errors and posts about them, they are attacked and ganged up on even if they are correct.

You are doing exactly as you should by looking at images and trying to aim at a certain area. I am not claiming to be an expert or to have great knowledge about this subject. However, I did a lot of research on the method of self inflicted gunshot. I was going to use a pistol, so my research was for that. It is really about increasing percentages of success based on past results.
These things increase percentages:
1- Aiming for the brainstem
2- Going all the way thru both the right and left sides of the brain
3- Bigger caliber is better than lower
4- Hollow point bullet is better than normal

But using a shotgun that is powerful enough and with the right ammunition seems to do more damage. With this kind of shotgun and ammo, entering thru the mouth could hit the brainstem and both sides of the brain. I think people still want to go behind the ear with the shotgun. But aiming the barrel back there at the correct angle is too hard. So they go thru the mouth. But it better be aimed low enough to hit the brainstem. One man had removed most of the upper part of the brain, but the brainstem had enough to keep him alive. Then the doctors actually debated if they should let him die.

I don't believe that is correct. Can you provide any references for that? I think you might mean shooting under the jaw causes most survivals. The big problem under the jaw or behind the ear is involuntary flinching. As far as i know in the mouth pointing slightly upward is the best, and a shotgun is the best.

Are you thinking a person has to do research that took months all over again, and post the links here, just to prove something to you? Are you really believing that? Do some research yourself. Teach yourself something so you don't post stupid shit and harass somebody that has already done the work.

Yes i did. Your posts are contradictory and you are pugnacious.

12 ga. shotgun, 00 buckshot, in mouth, pointing slightly upwards, towards the OP's pink circle. Simple as that.

I Had three Patients surviving gunshots in the Last Montag. Two were temple and one mouth But the angle was Too steep so he got his frontal lobe. All of them died eventually in hospital without Waking up. So in the end they were succesful

Were they all done with handguns? I don't think it would be easy to fail with a shotgun in the mouth.

I've read that if you fill your mouth with water first your head will virtually explode. I don't know if that's true.

Yes handguns that was the Problem. I don't think you can survive a shotgun.
