Hi everyone
I had a simple question that I hope someone may have an answer to, its probably a stupid question as there is most likely no way, but I wanted to check with you guys first on the possible ways of acquiring a gun? I have a past history on my background check of mental illness so I am unable to purchase one. I'm really desperate as this seems like my best method of choice.
thanks

Was the mental illness an intellectual disability, or something like depression? Were you admitted into an institution? Well, you can try a gun show. https://www.governing.com/gov-data/...irearms-bankground-checks-state-laws-map.html. A lot of gun shows do not require background checks from the private vendors, however, some, may require it via the venue, so make sure to research. Alternatively, depending on the two answers you gave to the questions, you may be able to move state. Asides from that, unless you want to go the illegal route, you can't really do much.

the mental illness was depression, and ive been in a psychward once after being baker acted for suicidal intentions. but shit I didn't know that gun show sales were was a thing. thankyou for letting me know that!. I'm going to presume that the illegal route is through the dark web? Ive already dabbled with illegal shit trying to ctb (heroin, clorophorm etc ) so I would be down to learn any possible ways of getting a gun.

If you ever want the state hopping route, here's a quick list of state laws. https://www.ncsl.org/research/civil...session-of-a-firearm-by-the-mentally-ill.aspx. Like IL, there if you haven't been in a ward, psych hospital, within the last 5 years, or diagnosed with an intellectual disability, you're good. So, you may want to check out nearby states' laws. Illegally making a gun, buying from darknet, etc, are optional. I don't know shit about buying firearms on the darknet, don't if there's anything special to do when compared with drugs like opsec. Heck, even a nail gun or super high feet per second pellet gun could work, presuming you aim correctly.

Guns are harder to find to purchase on the dark web than you might think. Drugs can be found reliably, but illegal firearms tend to be sold face-to-face (especially in the U.S., where it's only recently that we've even started really cracking down on requiring FFL dealers to middleman sales between private parties, and even that's not required in all states yet). I've yet to hear a reliable account of anyone obtaining a firearm via a darkweb transaction, and would be extremely wary of anyone purporting to offer one for sale. It's almost certainly a scam or honeypot. Be careful out there!
