An organism made of flesh stands among other ones like it. Stares at the night sky questioning its existence. Not just itself but also the concept of existence as well. He screams as loud as it can. No one answers. It is mere coldness with little life in it.
Was this always like that? Were we able to hear whispers of the Almighty leading us in the void? Were we ever able to find love and caring in this indifferent universe?
Maybe we were. But like a mental patient taking his pills and seeing his entire reality fall before his eyes we are too have taken our pills. Pill of rationality it is. After taking this pill we are now looking helplessly to find our imaginary friends. Friends who are more loving and caring than real people. Only to find nothing beyond nothing.
We either stop taking our pills and let our souls into the unknown hands of insanity or try to live in this new world without our imaginary friends. Both are equally agonizing and frightening.
