I don't even know if I believe in God to be honest but if some greater being exists, they're fucking evil. No question.

And if it's just random? I just can't wrap my head around it. I almost hope there's some god-like fuck out there torturing all of us.

I don't even know what I'm looking for here, I probably could/should just put this in a journal. But I just read all the shit you all deal with, and I can't imagine anything close to a human would create or condone this. I always think about how truly awful and unbearable life feels for me, someone who has it pretty damn good, and I just rage at how immeasurably worse it must feel for others who experience true hardship and trauma.

I wouldn't wish existence on anyone, even my very worst enemy. And the presumed only way out? Totally vilified by society and painful. So not only are we socialized to think there's something wrong with us when we want to die, but it's impossible to do it without fear and experience of emotional and physical agony, money/means, and truly lots of luck.

just fucked. how are there so many of us that feel something like this and yet living is still the assumed the standard? do we really believe there are people who enjoy/choose life and still would if it was more socialized that you don't have to? if so are they just dumb dumbs? or is something really wrong with me/the alternative? And there it is again.

I highly doubt God exists in the first place. I think this is the magical thinking fairy tale that people make up because they can't handle reality

Funny, that we are lucky to be able to commit painless suicide. People born hundreds of years ago were not so fortunate. So I am born to die, but still lucky. World is funny.

Think I read that in the Satanic Bible.

Yeah, I've been trying to stop being so mad when I really might just be angry at nobody.

But I'm open to the possibility that there could be an afterlife without a God. If there are different dimensions, who's to say we don't end up in one of those the same way we just ended up in this one?

Anything is possible. It could be a God that has no control over anything here. There could be a God but no afterlife. There could be multiple Gods with different spiritual realms. Who the hell knows.

I guess the only amount of compassion that anything had though, whether it's a God or the universe or whatever...is that it did create death. At least there is an end to suffering on Earth, if nothing else. It just sucks that it's so bad and for some, so long here.

There is no afterlife, I'm too lazy to explain why, but it's a fact.

The flip side to that was life expectancy was a lot shorter. Hundreds of years ago, many people died around 35-40. That's much more manageable if you have a tough life than being expected to make it to 80-100.

There is no verifiable fact when it comes to any of that stuff.

Why not explain some of this due to success, positive reinforcements, relationships, and brain chemistry. These are all realistic aspects of life that are very integral for bringing out the best in peoples lives. Concrete measurable levels of being happy in a way. If you lack in especially relationships and brain chemistry.. most likely you will not have the rest that becomes far more easily accessible to make your life fulfilled. This idea that we all have equal opportunity and access to great mental health is BS. But to claim that your experience is equal to everyone else just because they are born into the same world is also equally misguided. You have to work with the pain with where you are and if you truly want out then you need to take risks to get to a better place.. death.. or a better life. Sometimes death is a better option.. just make sure to have a friend to help you execute in the right way.. Drunk rant of the day. Many shots of Vodka.

Euthanasia should be legal for all.
I like your style. Life would be simpler if there were more people like you :))

The OP and @JoeFailure's first comment reminded me of this quote:

You can find men who have gone so far as to profess wisdom and yet maintain that one should not offer violence to one's own life, and hold it accursed for a man to be the means of his own destruction; we should wait, say they, for the end decreed by nature. But one who says this does not see that he is shutting off the path to freedom. The best thing which eternal law ever ordained was that it allowed to us one entrance into life, but many exits. Must I await the cruelty either of disease or of man, when I can depart through the midst of torture, and shake off my troubles? This is the one reason why we cannot complain of life; it keeps no one against his will.

From Moral letters to Lucilius by Seneca, Letter 70

I want so much to be sure that God is good and that I will have a pleasant afterlife without having to languish in Purgatory for an extended period. I have trouble believing in God's goodness, however.

I think our existence is like the movie The Truman Show. But instead of some TV execs in charge, we were created by aliens for some intergalactic reality show where they enjoy watching us suffering.

i personally believe in spirits and a god-like entity. too much evidence against the bible and so many lies (hell doesnt exist, literally made up in the 18th century to recruit more church donators) and contradictories (no solid evidence of noahs ark or the parting of the red sea) that i dont know what to see in it.

ive had personal experiences with spirits. people call it bullshit. but i know its true at least to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel like god is just whoever you choose to believe, just like the way you choose to look at life, it can be good or bad and everything in between because it's all there.

I feel like that's all we can do as humans. No one knows the truth about life and the universe. Science only explains some of the mechanisms that the universe follows, it doesn't explain how and why existence exists. What came before big bang and before that? Where is the start of everything if there is one and why? Why does existence exists. If there is some advanced super aliens out there, they're probably wondering the same shitz.

I doubt god's existence, but i think religious people are happier than non-theist and the idea of a higher power provide people a sense of security/hope. It helped them to persevere through hard times and stay optimistic. However, I don't think I can make myself believe this crap, imagine telling people to forgive others yet you can't even forgive someone who ate a fruit eons ago and continue to punish people just because of that. He's the quintessence of hypocrisy. and imagine hating on jeff bezos for not ending the world hunger yet you admire an omniscience and omnipotent god who started everything. jk jk

I think we are in hell. For me, I hope that god does not exist otherwise it is Satan. But if it exists, there is someone responsible for it all. So I hope it exists because I could say that everything is written and that I am not responsible for my shitty life and my choices.
